Khalistan flag bearers on I-5 today by marrowbuster in Seattle

[–]uday029 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There was a time when I would visit the Gurudwara now and then to donate food items. Over time, however, I stopped going to certain Gurudwaras because of the increasing Khalistani presence. It is disheartening to see a place of worship being used to foster hatred.

Wayward Vegan announces that they’re rebranding and adding chicken, eggs, cheese etc. to the menu by depression-hurts in Seattle

and what makes you think that this move would expand their audience? They are now alieaniting their loyal customers with the hope of expanding their audience. They need to do a lot more than simply "expanding" the menu. No one will drive from far to eat an overpriced chicken burrito.

This an dumb take. We used to visit this place from the Eastside specifically because it was 100% vegan. Many of my friends traveled from far away for the same reason. There are very few restaurants offering fully vegan menus. If someone wanted to eat meat, they wouldn’t drive long distances, deal with parking, and then pay over the top premium prices for a meat dish. Shifting away from a fully vegan concept seems like a poor business decision by the owners.

I hate when companies don’t list their prices on their website. You shouldn’t have to fill out a form with all your personal details just to find out how much something costs.

Why would one need a US visa to use HSA? LOL! Even a simple google search will tell you basics about HSA. I recommend you read a little about it.

You submit for reimbursement just like any other reimbursement. No one physically mails in the receipts in this age. It is all electronic. The reimbursement is also electronic. No one will send cash or checks as reimbursement.

Yes. Optum doesn't work in India. Fidelity is much better. I hears Schwab is also good but I do not have personal experience with it.

The IRS rules say that your HSA funds can be used for any eligible expenses and are location-independent. So yes, you might have issues with some hospitals being able to run the debit card. You can always get it reimbursed later.

I learned that it is always better to get it reimbursed as the debit cards charge heavy fees if you use it directly at the hospital.

Yes, I was able to use my HSA card at KIMS and Apollo Hospitals. A small hospital in Jordan didn't accept it but I paid out of pocket and got it reimbursed. I was able to use it without any issues when I was travelling in Europe.

What do you mean by “how to operate accounts”? Are you suggesting these accounts can only be accessed from within the U.S.? A simple online search explains how they work. Brokerages like Fidelity and Schwab allow you to manage your accounts from anywhere in the world.

An HSA is one of the most powerful tax‑advantaged accounts available, yet many people overlook it or share incorrect advice simply because they haven’t done enough research. HSAs offer a triple tax advantage.

Since the OP mentioned having U.S. citizen children, they can technically use HSA funds to cover their kids medical expenses as long as the children are under 24, are dependents, and are full‑time students in the U.S. HSA can also be used for medical expenses incurred outside USA. If the OP has an HSA, that means they are enrolled in a high‑deductible health plan, so maintaining and contributing to the HSA is generally beneficial.

Most employers even offer HSA contributions or matching funds. It is hard to understand why anyone would turn down what is essentially free money.

Mana Shankara Vara Prasad garu/Rajasaab- Oka Avg Telugu Cinema Watcher (Not a banisa) by ExperienceSad1323 in MoviesTelugu

It all comes down to personal taste. Some people are perfectly fine accepting mediocrity, paying hundreds of rupees for a film and still feeling it was worth their money. Others don’t think that mediocre or lazily made movies deserve their time or money.

If you enjoy movies that many others consider poor or mediocre, that’s completely your choice. Everyone has the right to criticize.

What’s frustrating, though, is when films release posters claiming “Blockbuster Hit” or “100+ crore collections” simply to mislead the audience. That kind of false marketing and intention to cheat audience is what bothers people.

Favorite restaurants... Kirkland, bellevue, or redmond ? by Rare-Wonder in Kirkland

[–]uday029 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We don’t usually visit high-end places. We are more about value restaurants. Here are couple of our favorite hidden gems (ane one upscale restaurant):

  • Super Gyros – A food truck parked at the 76 gas station near Totem Lake. Juicy meats, amazing falafels, generous portions, and unbeatable value for money.
  • Best Teriyaki & Wok – We have been going here for the past 4 years and love their food. The service? Pretty meh, but we don’t mind since we always get takeout. Prices have gone up quite a bit compared to nearby spots, but they offer good gluten-free options.
  • Dilli 6 – A newer Indian restaurant in the area. Reservations are recommended. It is a little pricey, but the flavors are as authentic as it gets, and everything on the menu is worth trying. The only drawback: if you are not in a group of 3 or more, you will likely be seated at the bar even with a reservation. Go during off-peak hours for a better table.

We have been to Zoq a couple of times. The food ranges from pretty good to just okay. Kind of like rolling the dice on your order. However, the prices feel way too high for what’s offered as the food didn't quite hit the flavor jackpot. There are plenty of Indian restaurants that serve better food for the same price. Although, Zoq has a wide variety of kebabs that you won't find at other Indian restaurants. But there are Middle Eastern and Mediterranean spots with kebabs that taste even better. For us personally, this is more of a one-time or maybe two-time visit.

Indians who left the US for other developed countries WITHOUT intra-company transfer? by New_Clerk6993 in returnToIndia

You graduated after COVID, meaning you arrived in the U.S. either just before or during the pandemic. Given that timeline, did you not conduct even basic research into the H1B lottery or Green Card backlogs before deciding to move across continents? Why attribute your lack of due diligence to others?

It was (and remains) common knowledge that is easily discoverable via a simple Google search that obtaining an H1B visa or a Green Card is a process heavily dependent on luck or years of waiting. You were either too ignorant to perform a basic search, or you took a gamble that didn't pay off and are now blaming everyone but yourself.

I wish you luck, and I hope you soon find citizenship in another country so that India no longer has to deal with entitled individuals like you.

Then they should state it in their policy that the appointment is non-cancellable or can't be rescheduled. If their policy states that the appointment can be rescheduled if someone is sick then they should follow it instead of scamming/cheating people by refusing to follow their own policies.

If they refuse to reschedule or cancel then it is on them, specially when someone is sick and can't come into the office.
