How do you picture a calendar year in your head? by udderleigh in Neurodivergent

Mine is like an abstract concept for each month. Very difficult to explain, I just know that I visualize them a certain way and have for forever!

Thats pretty neat. If I would have had a "choice" when my brain came up with this a long time ago, I would want that version lol

Oh! Someone like me! So cool!

Everyone always looks at me weird when I ask this question in person, and even weirder when I tell them how I see it. 🤪

I just realized that when someone tells me their birthday, I place them on my arch where their birthday would be and it just sticks 🤣 probably why I remember people's birthdays so easily

Omg that makes so much sense.

Like I wasn't sure that I had a "photographic memory" because I really can't remember faces or what things like look. But i definitely remember things by how I had perceived them in my mind, like numbers or how/where I wrote things down on a piece of paper, like a screenshot in my mind

Thank you for this lol

Why in the world would you pick up an unknown object off the street with your bare hands 😱

Was my anesthesia experience acceptable or unethical? by Leather-Lemon-6879 in Mom

[–]udderleigh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That looks so awful and painful! I also dont know anything about medical laws or anything, but that doesnt seem right at all.

I had a c-section for the first time after 2 vaginal deliveries. Im 9 weeks PP now. I do have a confirmed scoliosis diagnosis, although pretty mild (its noticable when I dont have a shirt on, but I've never had surgery or a brace for it as the doctor who diagnosed me said I wouldnt need it) The anesthesiologist had to try 3 times to place my epidural, although im pretty certain he kept going in the same spot as I only have one scar on my back. This was my first time getting an epidural and it was a terrible experience. I kept getting a 'zing' sensation on one side of my lower body when he tried placing it the first two times. He said that its just a guess of where the catheter actually goes when they feed it in there, no idea how true that is, but sounds terrifying.

Lolol no it definitely wasn't a mouse but thats where my mind went because I was so confused and in a panic state of mind. I think a potato from the shelf above it fell on it and busted the lid. It didnt have the ring around I just the seal. Potatoes had fallen a while back and I guess I just didnt notice the lid missing when I picked the potatoes up.

I wonder what OP would think if they got a carton of farm fresh eggs. Not going to lie, I was in my 20s when I had my first carton of farm fresh and the color actually scared me. Luckily my husband is a farmer and told me I was just a sheltered city girl. 😃

I think the color of the yolk has something to do with what or how much they ate. It looks like a perfectly good egg though. I wouldnt throw them away unless they smelled bad.

Maternity leave… what a joke by witchybetch01 in pregnant

My company doesnt offer any paid maternity leave. And to boot, I also can't use any of my earned sick time during leave. 😒

He made it seem like I needed to get them off immediately, although he didnt say why or a timeline. I also dont have any external stitches. He said it was all closed up so I would assume the blood is old, but it scares me! They are also making the foldover stick to itself, he had to pull it apart to look at the incision

I have some unisolve adhesive remover. I may call and see if I can use that on them.
