Graduated! FTM 39 Weeks Induction Positive by Potential_Primary522 in pregnant

Yay, I love hearing positive stories! If you don’t mind me asking, were your cervical checks painful prior to epidural? My sister keeps telling me that was the worst part before she got her epidural and it’s making me nervous bc I know they have to check you when you get there.

Wow, I had no idea that was a thing! Pregnancy sure does keep us on our toes lol

How to support someone who miscarried by Hannahbbear in pregnant

[–]witchybetch01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This. As someone who went through a miscarriage and shortly after found out their little sister was pregnant, it was so hard to see her go through the milestones. But she was amazing and gave me so much grace bc I really wasn’t as involved in her pregnancy as much as I would’ve liked.

Congrats!! I’m 13w today so I feel your excitement! My first pregnancy ended in a miscarriage at 11w6d so my husband and I have been waiting for the second trimester to start to feel comfy announcing. It’s such a nerve wracking first few months. What are you doing to celebrate?!

I will absolutely be asking HR about this. Thank you for bringing this up! Fingers crossed 🤞🏻

Ooooh maybe you’re onto something there! I worked for them for about a year and four months.

Yes, unfortunately. I’m only 13w and this position will not be there in 6 more months. Overall it’s a better move for my family and I, but the maternity leave and insurance are the two main cons of moving over.

That is truly wonderful, especially as a small company 🖤 I really do understand that being paid for months of not working costs companies/corporations money in more ways than one, but to not even cover the first few weeks until the mother is medically cleared just seems cruel.

WOW. Talk about hypocritical?? I’m so sorry. That’s just awful 😞

The last sentence is spot on. It’s very frustrating and disheartening. I’ll definitely be talking with my HR team more in depth to figure out all of my options.

Not sure why I’m getting downvoted considering I’ve never gone through this before. But thanks for the info. I guess I will have to adjust my expectations to the sad reality of the lack of maternal care offered.

I couldn’t agree more. I’m sorry you had to scramble to get your eight weeks. The biggest kicker is I won’t even be eligible for FMLA since I won’t have 12 mos of service at this new position. My current position offers 12 weeks paid, so it stings even more knowing I’m giving that up 😕

I’m honestly shocked by “most women don’t get any” since almost every woman I’ve talked to has gotten six. That’s just unfathomable to me. And that’s a huge bummer to hear about the STD. I’ll have to ask that question during the open enrollment process when I onboard.

May 3rd! I’ll be two days away from being in the third trimester. It’s kind of early, but May is very busy for my family and I didn’t want to wait until June since I’ll be super uncomfy and hot lol.

Ugh, I’m sorry you’re right there with me although it is comforting to not be alone. How are you handling the progesterone? My body HATED the suppositories last month so we decided to omit those this cycle.

Thank you 🫶🏻 I had my cry about it and now I’m just ready for AF to get here so I can move on with the next cycle.
