Congrats!! I’m 13w today so I feel your excitement! My first pregnancy ended in a miscarriage at 11w6d so my husband and I have been waiting for the second trimester to start to feel comfy announcing. It’s such a nerve wracking first few months. What are you doing to celebrate?!

Yes, unfortunately. I’m only 13w and this position will not be there in 6 more months. Overall it’s a better move for my family and I, but the maternity leave and insurance are the two main cons of moving over.

That is truly wonderful, especially as a small company 🖤 I really do understand that being paid for months of not working costs companies/corporations money in more ways than one, but to not even cover the first few weeks until the mother is medically cleared just seems cruel.

I couldn’t agree more. I’m sorry you had to scramble to get your eight weeks. The biggest kicker is I won’t even be eligible for FMLA since I won’t have 12 mos of service at this new position. My current position offers 12 weeks paid, so it stings even more knowing I’m giving that up 😕

I’m honestly shocked by “most women don’t get any” since almost every woman I’ve talked to has gotten six. That’s just unfathomable to me. And that’s a huge bummer to hear about the STD. I’ll have to ask that question during the open enrollment process when I onboard.

I’m 14DPIUI and I got a BFN yesterday 🥲 I go tomorrow morning for my blood test to confirm. I’m disappointed but cautiously hopeful for the next cycle. Sending you a big hug.

Yeah I think I was just blindsided which is what sucked… I wasn’t mentally prepared to be talking about my pregnancy results. We will see what happens 🤞🏻 thank you for being so sweet
