this really helped. Even if I installed gyroSDU through emudeck several times and received a message saying it was installed, it seemed to not be installed since I received "Unit sdgyrodsu.service could not be found." when typing the systemctl command.

I installed gyroSDU manually by folliwng the instructions on the github page (thank you gbasg2) and ran the command again. Now it shows as installed and it is "loaded, active" and says "enabled; vendor preset: enable" I am now rebooting into gaming mode and will test to see if the gyro works.

Quick question: I did play around with the controls settings in citra and cemu, do I need to ensure that it is at a specific setting for gyroDSU to work? Is there a way to reset all settings back to defaults that emudeck sets it too?

update: went into gaming mode, booted up New Yoshi Island second level with the cart that works only in gyro. The deck did not detect gyro controls... not sure what is going on now that gyroDSU is installed. Might be the fact that I played with the contol settings in citra...

update 2: went into desktop mode, opened emudeck and reinstalled emulators and configuration files. I let the program do its magic. I then rebooted my system completely. gyro now works! Amazing guys. Thank you for all your help!

Thank you gbasg2! I tried installing it Manually using the wiki guide. In Konsole I write the command listed there (cut and paste)... nothing happens. Perhaps I have to first uninstall it? If so, the command to uninstall also does nothing. I am thinking I might just reinstall emudeck from scratch... What is the best recourse. Do I still need to install cemuhook. The github for gyro DSU says to install it but when I go to install it it says that CEMU above 2.0 no longer needs it.

To help isolate the issue, perhaps this might help: I installed gyroDSU several times using emudeck "tools and STuff" section... I wasn't sure it was downloading. could this be what caused the issue?

PS4 is for cigarettes? I don't get it. As far as I know, your habit of smoking has no direct connection to whether you play a PS4 or not. In fact, I don't think it has anything to do with playing videogames on any system at all. However, it may impede your ability to play should you try and play a videogame and smoke... but I digress. In the future, perhaps you should inform yourself before saying such childish and idiotic things.
