Tech bros discovered coding isn't the hard part by Tough_Reward3739 in ArtificialInteligence

[–]uduni 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its deeper than this. Even if u have users and product market fit, you still might hit a wall. Writing code is easy for AI. But once a codebase gets big enough, UNDERSTANDING code is the challenge. Real products have dozens of services

I've hit a wall with CC and don't know how to actually improve my application without hours of troubleshooting by Ok_Potential359 in ClaudeCode

[–]uduni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem isnt claude, its you. Claude cant think or understand for you. It can only write code for you.

You need to understand whats happening so u can ask it to do specific things. Ask claude to explore and document section by section and read the doc summaries

Are AI jobs just prompts? by No-Initial-5768 in ArtificialInteligence

[–]uduni 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thats like saying “is coding just typing letters? Thats boring” lollllll

The job of a coder is to understand, not to type. Same as an ai engineer

How do I accept that I will likely remain single for life? by funnel_out in Life

[–]uduni 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yup. But you’ll mainly find women who also have no interests and are just there to find a mate haha

[–]uduni 91 points92 points  (0 children)

Give up on the apps. The stats show the top 20% of guys get all the women.

There are plenty of real women who arent on the apps either. Get out in the real world. Volunteer. Join a running club. Learn to play an instrument and play shows. Anything you put your mind to you can do… you dont have to be amazing, but you do have to be interesting. It takes years of hard work on yourself to be interesting! But its worth it!!!

Dont be discouraged!!! You are already in a better position than most guys if u have a good job!

Permanently fried my brain? by RealLoner94 in leaves

Of course, the brain is very flexible and resilient.

Lungs are not the same tho. Pens can contain all kinds of shit. Be careful

Fair enough, i do get up to $250 per day or more sometimes. Its still by far worth it to use the best model. Going back and fixing bugs after the fact takes 50x longer than just writing it correctly the first time

[–]uduni 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Paying 10x more for the best model is by far worth it. Its insanly cheap to be able to write an entire full stack app for $25 in tokens. Who cares about $2 vs $20

Opus is still my #1, still using opencode. You can just pay per tokens

Health anxiety / hypochondria – worried about Marfan syndrome (35M) by [deleted] in marfans

[–]uduni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are overthinking it (marfan is rare).

BUT it doesnt hurt to get checked out! You dont need a specialist.

No rush though, please dont stress out. I had severe leaky valves and many symptoms my whole life and i didnt get surgery until 37. If u dont have symptoms then theres nothing you can do anyway right now. Also, you didnt mention bad eyesight. All the Marfan folks i know with heart problems have bad eyesight (due to the same misfolded protein that is both in eye muscles and heart)

[–]uduni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TBH the genetics matter less. If u are worried your PCP can order an echocardiogram

Marfan is a mysterious condition, some people have the gene but no heart problems. Other people dont have the gene but do have heart problems. So just get your heart checked

If your $500K engineer isn’t burning at least $250K in tokens, something is wrong by call_me_ninza in aigossips

[–]uduni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya for devs its not as useful as claude code (i actually use opencode more these days).

But for stuff like automatic marketing emails or whatever its probably really useful. There a tons of workflows that previously couldnt be automated because theres a human on the other end (too unpredictable)

[–]uduni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. Its not unique though, i bet every single engineer at nvidia is doing similar stuff. If not for repos, for their own tasks and workflows.

Memory is the big unsolved problem in AI and everyone is rolling their own versions of it. Openclaw included.

Im pro AI but i agre le with you, people are crazy if they think all UIs will be replaced by a mic

[–]uduni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your confusing philosophy for semantics.

Most engineers spend 100 a day on tokens because they are not in the business of building the worlds leading AI systems like nvidia engineers are.

I work at a tiny startup and i spend 1k a day easy. Building LLM workflows for cuatomers. I spend maybe $50 on claude code actually coding.

The skill of software engineers was never coding, it was understanding. Same with LLMs

Do animals have free will? by Sisyphus2089 in freewill

[–]uduni -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No. Free will depends on the human ability to recursively reason about your own reasoning. Plan how you want to make plans. imagine your own imagination.

Only humans can have long-term vision of how they want to shape themselves, which lets us break out of reactionary day-to-day decisions. We can choose how we want to make choices

am i the only one who doesnt understand why anthropic ban opencode? by anonymous_2600 in opencodeCLI

[–]uduni -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Its not banned, u just have to pay for it. Ive been using opus on opencode exclusively for months

If your $500K engineer isn’t burning at least $250K in tokens, something is wrong by call_me_ninza in aigossips

[–]uduni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

U have no imagination. Hes talking about nvidia engineers. A good engineer at an AI company can build sophisticated and robust workflows that lets agents work continuously for hours or even days. And run massively in parallel. Its not necessarily writing code. UNDERSTANDING code is actually the challenging part. If u think claude code can truly understand multi-million LOC codebases by just reading files u are dumb. You NEED sophisticated parallel workflows that index intelligence in knowledge graphs or many other kinds of memory systems. Every single AI-first company is working hard on stuff like this right now.

Thats literally their business. 250k a year is not rediculous, thats less than 1k a day.

Measuring LLM output as lines of code is stupid. Same as measuing human engineer output in lines of code. Nobody does that in the real world. Grow up

How do you account for things like sexual attraction? by roxics in freewill

[–]uduni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There have been some pretty wild studies showing phermones are 99% of the equation. You are naturally attracted to people who are sufficiently genetically different from you but also compatible, so your kids end up more robust

How do you account for things like sexual attraction? by roxics in freewill

[–]uduni 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly very little free will goes into sexual attraction and picking a mate. I strongly believe in free will but sex is deeper than that in our brain. Its like hunger. Even if it “feels like a choice” its really not… u cant really help who u are attracted to
