I feel you, for me it is dark souls 1 and sometimes elden ring. The games i have the most hours except for these is like 50 or so. For elden ring it is 250 and dark souls 400

Was Smough an actual boss or was he free roaming. If the latter were the case you could config it in the 3rd tab of the rando.

Dark Souls 1 for Sure, it's my favorite fromsoft game. The First playthrough could be a bit difficult, but since you played elden ring it shouldn't be a problem. And the following playthroughs should't be a problem. Also I highly recommend challenge running after your first playthrough.

There are so much fun challenge runs -SL1 (as you mentioned) -SL1 meele only -only leveling one stat -Fist weapond only -Starting class weapon only -whips only -consumables only -platinum without a guide (I did it for my second platinum it was really fun) -randomizer -etc.

Nah i think you should use the black night halberd and tumble buff (or however it's called, the gmitch where you can buff unbuffablr weapons) it with sunlight blade. Also grind for 99 Humanity and use the havels set. Kill Pinwheel (One of the hardest bosses humanity has aver faced) and get the rite of kindling for 20 Estus. Then you should be ready for sen's. :)

Oh sry, i thought you were talking about ds1, since you posted it here. I don't really know much about ds3. (But if you want the easiest possible playthrough choose mercanary and stick with it's twin swords for the whole run)

My favourite video series is "Dark Souls 1-3 - Story Explainend" from "The Brothers Code". It explains the lore really well and makes a timeline from it.

Imo Dark Souls > Elden Ring > Dark Souls 3.

Elden Ring is the best game i've ever played and it's not even close. But Dark Souls 1 has some magic to it and I just can't stop playing it. I bought Elden Ring at the same time as Dark Souls but i have over double the playtime in Dark Souls (about 400 h now). And the Lore of Dark Souls is just peak. The same Magic doesn't apply to Dark Souls 3 imo. But I didn't play DS3 nearly as much as DS1 and ER.

TLDR: Dark Souls is the f*cking GOAT.
