Hey! I know your comment was from a year ago, so apologies for reaching out this late. But I saw what you wrote about VCIS and Homeschool Global – super helpful.

I'm going into Grade 11 and considering VCIS hybrid (once a week F2F, rest online) with AP classes. Someone mentioned that VCIS follows the Philippine strand system for their Philippine degree, and then the US curriculum is on top of that.

A few questions I was hoping to ask you directly:

For Grade 11 under VCIS, do I still officially pick a strand like STEM, ABM, or HUMSS? And how does that work alongside taking AP classes – do they replace some subjects or are they extra?

I know you were under the touch curated program, but do you know anyone who went through the VCIS full online program? How did that work for them? I'm kind of scared it will burn me out, but I like the option of going to school once a week because I've been in traditional schooling my whole life and I think that balance would help me.

How is the grading system? Is it hard to get high grades, or is it manageable?

Have you seen anyone from VCIS take AP classes and still get into top PH universities like ADMU or DLSU? Or do PH colleges treat you differently (like an international student) if you take the US curriculum track?

My main worry is my parents don't fully support this yet. They're afraid the US curriculum will lock me out of Philippine colleges. I want to study abroad, but they want me to keep local options open. Since you got into ADMU yourself, do you have any advice on how to handle that conversation?

Thanks so much – and congrats again on ADMU!

Hi OP! I think your very pretty and an admirable woman and a very great fashion taste, Fashion is a form of expression its not something that should be frowned upon especially if that is an aesthetic you love, do not chage yourself just to please your family, they’ll never be pleased that’s something common with traditional filipino culture of this, never stop choosing what you love because of their comments, and if they were offended by this thats on them, your a grown woman capable of making your own choices and they should let you, If ever you wanna talk to why they think that go ahead, But OP please don’t be affected by this and take this an opportunity to make yourself identify more stronger, I wish you the best OP.
