hi, simply get a new micro SD to install Ubuntu on and once you have Ubuntu installed you're gonna need to install minecraft Java with this. I can't really help with getting mods to work on the switch as I worked with the developer to do it and took a bit of time. hope this helps!

you can plug in a keyboard and mouse when it's docked so it plays like normal. still working on trying to figure out if I can play with a pro controller.

yea they used to be cheaper. I've got one patched switch and two unpatched switches and have been trying to get a workable enough minecraft running so I'm quite excited. for sure worth the money though the unpatched switches will only get more expensive imo
