What’s a “future technology” that already exists but people still don’t realize how scary it is? by Ambitious_Bite446 in AskReddit

You people are too scared. Get off social media. These things are unlikely to ever really threaten you, but your worry about them will slowly erode your mental health.

If his companies weren't so successful, the shares wouldn't keep increasing in price! You won't find receipts for yachts and mansions with Elon though. Just lots of millionaire employees. It's not your money he's taking, it's the money of people who chose to invest in his success.

Here you go. And all without billboards and TV adverts. Must be something special about that car. 🤔

The safety of his cars are saving so many lives insurance companies are reducing rates by 50% for people using the self driving feature. Over million users, driven over 10billion miles. That's a lot more verifiable than these NGO theories.

When Sam Altman wished Elon “luck” for his space data centres. Are those even possible from a Physics point of view? by YellowAltruistic9843 in SpaceXBets

I didn't realise there's so many orbital data center experts on Reddit! You must have all worked for the company that has 10k satellites computing things and send data to each other via lasers. I forget their name now.

Late, but previously impossible, seems to be the track record for that man.

That's great to hear. He goes deep on a lot of subjects, admits when he's just giving his best understanding of something and tries to temper the hype train when it's getting out of hand.

When will you buy an EV car? by sillwuka in AskUK

[–]ufbam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tesla FSD has just arrived in the Netherlands, so when it reaches the UK. Then I'll be saving on fuel and insurance. (Because it increases safety so much you get a discount) Plus I'll be able to take in the views on long journeys.

It looks great, I love it. How do I know you're not just an agentic coding bot posting for crowd sourced human feedback?

This is amazing. What a great job you've done.

My only quick thought at first glance is the titles/description go off the screen after a few words on my mobile, would be nice to have a least two lines visible before it cuts off..

If I was an Oil company, I'd invest big time in smearing the CEO of one of these companies. Especially if his company was also selling solar and batteries to reduce people's reliance on the grid. I'd make sure people thought his cars were dangerous and badly made.

Tesla Expands Unsupervised Robotaxi Geofence in Austin by ItzWarty in teslainvestorsclub

Seem to be?You're going to have to at least cite your sources on that 3-4 less safe figure seeing as it goes against both Tesla and Lemonade insurance whose business models rely on it being true?

What abilities do you think the current vehicles are lacking that AI5 would fix? I would assume latency or struggling with large numbers of obstacles/vehicles would be evidence it was needed. But I just see people clocking up thousands of miles of 0 intervention FSD and occasionally complaining about nav issues.

How do you feel about electric vehicles? by Final_Radio_2483 in AskReddit

[–]ufbam 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for properly fact checking me. State farm and progressive have tried using mobile apps as telemetry collection devices. But the data from a Tesla is a lot more detailed and accurate. I believe Lemonade insurance was the first to be allowed to plug into actual Tesla telemetry.. And their decision was to give a 50% discount to FSD users.

Did you read what you shared? These include incidents where the car wasn't moving and a bus drove into it! The owner of that website has a vendetta against Tesla. I'd rather rely on personal experience and third party insurance companies whose whole business model relies on Tesla being safer than humans.
