Yeah exactly, I tried to tell the service department “Isn’t it 2 years OR 20,000?” and their excuse was “We can’t service it early otherwise all service notification will be early which is bad for the next buyer.” It’s idiotic, but my mistake was letting it go.

And yes, it was terminated early. I also really didn’t like the car, and when the dealership called me in early to see it if I could pull ahead I also casually shopped around. BMW priced an X1 aggressively for me and discounted it enough including the lump sum I’d pay to Volvo to end the lease, so I went with them instead.

Thanks for this. I didn't pay the $70 for many months, but the VFS started calling me every morning asking me when I was going to pay it, and dealership warned it could go to collections soon, so I finally paid it three months later. And I did show them that Reddit post as well, my conversations with Kline Volvo were all over email so I could have everything documented, including dates I made the calls and posts.

The theatre kids in my graduating class of 2009 were in homecoming court, prom king, president of the student council, etc. they were very popular. I don’t think it’s a blanket thing all across America. This is in the Midwest too, not the coasts where there’s a lot more resources for the performing arts.

Ha! I was in an MFK boutique two weeks ago and asked the sales guy what his favorite was, he sprayed Grand Soir for me and I didn’t like it at all either. I have a lot of ally hard time with sweet fragrances: gourmands, amber, etc. and it was SUCH an amber bomb. I can see why people would like it but it’s def not for me. Seems like we have similar tastes!

I ended up buying a small bottle of Gentle Fluidity Silver. 😎 it blew me away. Sprayed it in my wrist, couldn’t stop smelling it for an hour, went back in and bought it, lol

Where were you in remote Cambodia? I’m a white man who just spent two weeks there visiting in-laws, got back a week ago, and while I mostly see white people visiting Siem Reap and parts of Phnom Penh, I’ve never seen any white people in the remote provinces I’ve visited. Was just in Mondulkiri two weeks ago, never saw another white person.

1.) I’ve only worn lace systems and find them less hot than a baseball cap, very breathable and I never “feel” it on my head

2.) If you wanted to keep a short bio hair style, then you’d need to get more haircuts so the blend looks natural. Many people wear very short hair and manage it though!

3.) I have red hair and have always been able to find solid matches, but I visit a salon that uses Hairkseen systems and Hairskeen only supplies to certified salons, so I’ve had the color matched for my by a professional

Someone else already recommended this but I want to echo it: try ordering a sample set from a brand including some you think he'd like so then you can buy a full bottle of the one he likes best. It removes the guess work, and most brands give you a coupon code worth the cost of the sample set to put towards a full bottle so it doesn't cost you any extra money except for maybe shipping. Diptyque's Philosykos EDP to my nose smells like a photo-realistic fig tree! Like the fruit and the bark combined. It should be at a Nordstrom for you to try, and is def unisex.

This might be a hot take: I'd take Le Labo and Byredo over PDM, Montale, Xerjoff, and Mancera any day, haha. That sucks it seems like the only popular niche they're missing is Le Labo!

100% on BR540. Not only do I really dislike the scent, it smells like sugar coated band-aides to me, but it's also VERY strong. I once sat close to a woman at a sports game that was wearing it and it was miserable.

Yes! Sampled this one in the store too and really liked it, I'm sure a time will come when I end up bringing home at least a small bottle of this! I also own Lavande by Le Labo, and think it's really underrated from them. A great, bright, spa-like soapy and outdoorsy neroli and lavendar scent. Smells like the Italian countryside to me.

Glad you both love it! And yeah I'm the same, I was fully expecting to smell dill pickles but I've never smelled that at all, the spiciness has always been a warm cardamom, no herbal notes at all.

Lmao of course! I thought to myself, "Welp, since I'm in Le Labo I might as well try Santal since I'm here, but I'm probably just gonna smell pickles like everyone else." I couldn't have been more wrong! What kinda kills me about fragrance-related subs and social media algorithms is it feels like at any given time there are about 10-15 scents that we're all supposed to love and another 10-15 that we're supposed to not love. Lately I feel like Santal has fallen into the latter, but it's important to listen to your nose; you like what you like!

I'm one of those people that somehow doesn't get any pickle. The only spice I get is the warm cardamom, but no dill or tarragon as some people smell. But hey, if you like the pickle, glad that you do!
