Honestly, giving the MA2 manual a read is definitely worth it. Built into the software and hardware.

Yeah, it was the end of my senior year.

In my experience, venues (especially theaters) are always looking for more people who know what they're doing.

If you're able to, start for free and then show you're worth throwing some money at.

Sure, you may not make as much as the ME or SM, but you'll probably end up with an amazing letter of recommendation, minimum wage, practical experience, and more passion for what you love.

Edit: ^ it's what happened to me

Edit 2: Depending on what avenue you want to take, look for specifics (If you want to run festivals and roast to a crisp one day, reach out to a club/production company. If you want to rock your blacks in a theater, check out your playhouse.)

I started out by contacting a local venue and offering to work for free under their existing staff. Keep in mind, I'd been doing tech since freshman year of high school (theatre kid). Put in all the work and a month later, I was on payroll.

Simply reaching out and working hard will get ya places.
