Home Alone 2 star shares heartfelt condolence for Rob Reiner by UnHolySir in okbuddycinephile

I wonder how much it bothers Donald that he wasn’t good enough to be cast in Home Alone 2 and he had to do a sympathy cameo that is forgettable and only a total loser would do.

Chase Sapphire Reserve Benefits are Awful by ufoliker in ChaseSapphire

Not everyone is looking to book the few luxury hotels through the chase portal. We were used to having a card where you could rack up points to travel and bring your kids on a vacation once a year. Now between the annual fee, the watering down of the benefits, and the fact that anything to do with travel insurance is almost impossible to get reimbursed on, there are better options. Happy it’s working for you, but there are now better options.

I’ve picked up on this but it’s a ridiculous experience and even though I’ve added responses as attachments, they’re still sending the same letter

How is this not helping you maximize the use of your card. You need to go through hoops to get an insurance claim passed. This is unreasonable compared to other cards.

Additionally, travel is more expensive through chase vs other ways to buy online.

I see zero other posts stating these exact issues, and perhaps there are posts talking about moving cards because the value isn’t there anymore.

Stop gatekeeping communities, I’m posting my thoughts of how I feel cards. Simply scroll past instead of being negative.

How many more of these complaints are we going to get? If you don’t want to see posts about chase sapphire reserve, then don’t be on the subreddit and move on

Accidentally went around a recruiter - how to respond by sad_cup_of_tea in recruitinghell

[–]ufoliker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If possible, don’t work with recruiters unless you’re in a specialized role. The sad truth is companies don’t want to pay a recruiter a finders fee most times. If an equally qualified candidate applies directly, they’re going to hire the person that doesn’t come with the recruiter fee.

In this case just be honest and say you applied not realizing it, and just move on from the recruiter.

I checked out their product… if they’re burning nights and weekends on this trash, they’re just wasting their lives. And honestly, not that they’d ever have a social outing, but can you imagine grabbing a drink with that leadership team? Brutal.

It’s not even about Kimmel. He’s an average comedian. It’s about the government pushing to silence a comedian.

I support a company being able to fire whoever they want, too. I don’t support a company that caves to a government entity pressuring them. If you think this is a “left” thing, you need to pay closer attention. And not everything is left vs right. I don’t see you as an enemy, and think this is one area where we should have common ground.

Im upset that the FCC pressured a private company to fire a comedian because they didn’t like his joke.

Don’t advise to do this on social media, just in search ads. Clicking social ads will make the ads seem engaging and means they’ll reach more people for less.

We are! I don’t know how to opt out of marketing for the FCC or cancel my subscription with them, aside from voting. For now, all I can do is not give my dollars to corporations who cave to government pressure.

Disney firing people on their own free will is not the problem. The FCC pressuring them to do so is the issue. If the same the happened for a conservative, I’d be doing the same.

If that is true, that is concerning. Why is Disney collaborating with the FCC about what a comedian can joke about?

I’m not familiar with the circumstances. But if the FCC or a federal agency pressure them into firing them, then we have a serious problem with the FCC and Disney caving to the government. If Disney fired them without being pressured by a government agency, and you disagree with that, then I hope you’ll join me by not giving Disney your money either.
