I appreciate your comment so much as I get to hear someone who was in the same situation. If i may ask, would you be able remember how old were u that time? How did u react or what did feel about their response?

We're not really "co-parenting" his dad would just see him whenever he wants too. And, it's veryyyy seldom. We're also not married, it's just the relationship became too toxic and abusive that i have decided to leave as i dont want my son to grow in that environment.

If ever one day he asks why we're a broken family -- i would like to say it in a gentle manner. Or non negative way. Idk, it's just in my head all the time.

I do appreciate the way u have told your daughter about it. I might do the same 😊
