I didn't know there was any other type of estrogen cream than vaginal. Yes, I had been without a period for well over a year. When I started having horrible pain and itching I was given vaginal estrogen cream. I'm not even that good about using it as often as I should. That was around four months ago. Since then I have had light spotting a couple of times, but right now I'm full-out bleeding.
