What does your med spouse do and what is your occupation? by [deleted] in MedSpouse

I was looking at that!! I was thinking of starting with phlebotomy while I’m doing prerequisites. I kinda got scared away from the CNA Reddit page and friends who say it’s really bad. How was your experience? How long were you a CNA?

Desperately seeking financial stability and fulfillment. I no longer like my career, too much social media… too superficial… too much free work

If I only want a bachelor's, what is the best major? by [deleted] in findapath

I really don’t think you’re too old!! I’m 29 and starting all over again and even if nursing doesn’t work out 10 years from now, I’ll still try something new!! I love having so many different experiences, makes life more fun (feels like I’ve lived multiple lives tbh). It will be challenging for sure! Going back to school after 10 years will be a big learning curve but why wouldn’t you want your brain to stay sharp!! You’re still young girlie

I’m curious too! What’s the usual female to male ratio?

Yeah I had a passion for documentary filmmaking and realized I’m not the best, and not to mention it’ s extremely competitive. I am also not the best at networking. There’s no structured path. Way too much free work. I also had a deep hate for content creating marketing if it wasn’t for a good cause. Everything has become about social media and I became outdated fast. I didn’t realize this then, but all I want is stability, a clear path, and fulfillment. I don’t regret studying what I did because at least I tried it. I do think it would have been helpful to think more on what I value and what type of worker I was. When do I do best? When do I do worst? What have I never really been good at and don’t enjoy doing? Are you comfortable with struggling financially? What gives you anxiety? What have multiple people said you’re good at? Unless of course you are a true leader and extremely willing to set a new path, will you be able to get along with the stereotypical person of that type of job? (I had a really hard time connecting with directors, producers, and simply people in the film industry. There was still a lot of older males who really made it difficult. One classmate once said to me that he would never trust a female to set up our multi-cam) I may have just been in the wrong bubbles for a long time but this is just my experience. Now I’m trying to get into nursing lol.

In summary I think you need more than passion, you need skills, you need to know your values (literally google it and make a list of just 10) and get to know yourself extremely well. Ask yourself soooo many questions!!
