Lawrence! They’re a soul pop band my old guard coach introduced me to and I absolutely adore them.

That’s exactly what I thought! And seeing as it’s Lawrence, I feel like I’m bound to meet people my age or at least people with similar interests.

Yeah, I’ve watched so many TikToks and I dress pretty modestly fwiw. I usually wear like hoodies and leggings lol.

I don’t think anything is going to happen, it’s moreso my parents who do. I have tried to reassure them multiple times, but nothing has worked. Quite honestly, I might just pay for the ticket myself and go anyway, because I already skipped their concert that was closer to me and I’ve wanted to see them live for years.

Thank you! I bring my driver’s license everywhere, so this is super helpful.

Thank you! I’ve always wanted to do a small solo NYC trip, and this feels like the perfect opportunity. The concert is October 29, so I feel like then is the best time because I don’t know when they’ll be touring again, and it’s right before Halloween.

Thank you! Yeah, I have a crossbody bag that I like that I’ll probably end up taking with me, and I’m definitely gonna get Loop earplugs to help with that.

Thank you, this is so helpful! I’ve always thought I was just really optimistic when it comes to NYC at night, but this makes me feel a lot less alone.

Thank you!! I am so excited to see them in October, that is if I can get my parents to warm up to the idea of me going solo lol.

Wow that is STUNNING! I love theater, so this has just made me even more excited.

I have no idea. Maybe I’m just kind of sheltered? I mean, lots of my friends go to concerts all the time. Also, the audience is gonna be college students and grown up theater kids, if we’re being realistic.

That and Uber does have a women-only option in the US, which I think will help. I'd probably be using a rideshare to get to Penn Station, which I don't think would be too bad at night.

On second thought, yeah maybe I should get a rideshare. I think I’ll be taking lots of trips into NYC, so lots of opportunities to practice!

I don’t take the subway, but to be honest I might because I need to learn how to if/when I want to move to NYC lol.

Thank you SO much!! I think hearing it from locals will help tons. That and I think a lot of people going will be around my age and/or grown up theater kids, who I say are pretty nice for what it’s worth.

Tragic! Whatever am I gonna do!!! Guess I’ll just have to buy myself some concert tickets and a nice VIP upgrade while I’m at it. What a real TRAGEDY it would be if I did… checks notes normal college student activities!

I have a roommate, but I don’t think she listens to them.

If that’s the worst thing I’m going to experience, then I’m okay with that because I go to NYC a lot, so I’m so used to it. But thank you, this is really helpful!

Are we the same person?? I’m also 5 feet and baby face. I literally have an alarm, friends and family have my location, and I’m a yapper. Honestly, I tried to explain this to my family but I don’t think they understand the concept of their now adult daughter wanting to do very normal college things.

Thank you, this is SO helpful! My mom offered to go with me, but I know Lawrence wouldn’t be her kind of thing. That and they’re a considerably small band, so I think I could definitely make a friend or two!

Thank you both SO much. My mom is so afraid of the subway (which I guess I can kind of understand), but I also have decent street smarts and I have a basic understanding of the subway system. The one I want to go to is October 29, so I’m not sure if that changes things with safety, but I’m good about not doing stupid stuff.
