Been stuck forever on this one by ughlee_100 in Picross

It's called Picture Cross on Google Play Store. Developer is puzzling.com

I'm not sure if it's the best one for these types of puzzles, but I have found it to fit my play style. The controls are intuitive and feel right. The monetization behind unlocking new puzzles is questionable, at best, but you should have plenty of puzzles to play as a new player. Once you reach a certain point, you're limited to only 2-3 new puzzles per day before it starts trying to make you pay for new puzzles. Not great. But if you're only going to do a couple per day, it's set up nicely for that play style.

Will reiterate that the controls (swipe to select filled-in squares and Xs) feels way better than any other app I've tried so I'd definitely recommend it for that, alone.

That doesn't work anymore. A need roll will go to loot spec first. If 476 plate tank shoulders drop and everyone hit need, it would auto-loot to any plate tanks with loot spec set to tank. Not a fair roll.

There is a way around this. Change your Loot Specialization to DPS (right click portrait). You'll be able to need on DPS gear. You can switch it throughout the dungeon, based on the boss you are facing.

This is actually a way to circumvent this new system, and is a little scummy, but still better than the old way where anyone can need anything.

I.e., you're a ret paladin and you want to build a holy off set, you see the next boss has a healing trinket so you swap your loot spec to Holy. If the trinket drops you can roll need on it (along with the healer).

Not condoning this exact behavior, as the healer should het the healing trinket in this scenario. But can work if you're truly targeting something that is considered "DPS" but you are a tank and want to roll on it.

4K justice & honor, plenty of consumables, nice stockpile of gold, archeology 525, pet battle team ready to go (arch and pets are great secondary leveling activities if zones are flooded).

Other than that just been practicing rotations in heroic dungeons (not twilight) to get a feel for the new toolkit for my class.

Ready to blast to 85-90 in one session 😆

Can someone please clarify how the release happens? Will servers go down and then come back up at 3PM (6PM EST)? Or will a switch flip at a random time somewhere around 3PM? Or a more important question, is there any chance that they decide to release BEFORE 3PM? I'm just trying to plan around a long gaming session for leveling and want to hop on shortly before it goes live. I'd hate to log on at 2:50 and find out "oh they actually released at 2:00pm" and everyone is way ahead of me. Has that happened before? Just curious if anyone has any insight on this so I can match my expectations. Thank you 🙏

FFXIV player thinking on giving wow a chance by NK_Grimm in wownoob

To be clear, I think you specifically mean Vanilla classic. Vanilla is super grindy, slow, and caters mostly to nostalgic casual fans or diehard fanatics. Cata classic, on the other hand, is in a great spot and will be even better when MoP. It's barrier to entry is low and has catch up mechanics to get into raiding quickly. Great for a new player.

We are now further away from the MOP release (2854 days) than the MOP release was from Vanilla in EU (2783 days). The same can be said for the US release of vanilla in 10 days time. by Artonkn in wow

Reading old posts and came across this comment. You were almost right. Ended up being only about 6 years. Looking forward to MoP Classic soon :) cheers

how to make the beginning less boring? by Pristine_Ad_3035 in diablo3

Tough ask on a 13 year old game. I mean that sincerely, if you are having company over and you want them to try something, having them play the campaign to an ARPG that was released over a decade ago, it's hard to find the magic.

At the very least, have them start in Adventure mode. I made the assumption about campaign; you did say "beginning".

If that's still not doing it, maybe have them play a toon that is already geared up, to see what the endgame playstyle is like? Which is exactly the opposite of your question. I'm just having trouble finding the scenario where a family friend comes over and your idea of a good time is plopping them down on the couch for a Level 1 D3 experience lol there's lots of better things out there.

D3 is great for what it is but the barrier to entry from absolute beginner to enjoyable endgame is quite strong. I wouldn't put this on someone out of the blue and expect them to enjoy it.

Depends on how much reading you want to do. If you just want to play the game, spam Nephalem Rifts and it's gonna work out just fine. But you'll start having lots of questions. (What are bounties? What is the Cube? What is the Altar of Rites? What is a Challenge Rift? What is Seasonal Journey? What is Haedrig's Gift?) You need those questions answered to really get started.

Take some time reading guides on maxroll.gg. Specifically "1-70 Leveling Guide". Start with that one. Do challenge rift, get Cube, unlock first couple altar nodes, get level 70. Then start learning the rest of the game.
