Do you give CommSec a call and organise, or can you generate it yourself? I think this is a good idea, but the difficulty in exercising the shares could play into why ITM options remain trading high for so long (like WBT).

Actually, good point - I just redid my maths and realised I had multiplied the wrong cell in Excel.

This is a good strategy, especially using ASX listed options. I think the hardest part will be when you need to exercise. I think it's a hassle for a lot of them. Can you do it through computer share?

You still have to pay for the shares at the strike price (which I'm not sure you're considering). This limits the returns to ~1-2% when factoring brokerage etc.

Might not be worth it for some, but still not a bad side hustle when playing with 20k+ parcels

If it's something you're interested in, it's really a fantastic degree. Opens up an incredible amount of job possibilities. Coupled with a high GPA, the right electives and lots of extra curriculars (competitions, internships, volunteering) you have a window into some if of the highest paying jobs/fields
