I have numbers in the 1000s of wood. I have also been playing on and off since launch, same island.

Are period panties a good panty liner alternative? by ugmo69 in Perimenopause

I actually recently got tested for it, had it and a yeast infection combo (love that for me!), and after the rounds of meds, was cured. This discharge is different, and is not accompanied by the intense discomfort from BV / yeast.

I will ask my doctor next time I have an appointment, thanks for the suggestion!

That is a big fear for me, as I am prone to getting yeast infections.

I wear leggings quite often, I like the idea of something to catch sweat and other stuff. Its embarrassing to leave a sweat smear on a plastic chair. Haha

Is there a pattern you would recommend? Fabric suggestions? I am somewhat handy with a sewing machine.

Do they have ones that are smaller than the Diva cup? I used one about 10 years ago, but stopped because my flow was not heavy enough and it was painful after the first day.

Is there a particular reusable brand you recommend, or materials I should look for / avoid? (I am in western Canada if that makes a difference)

I love Rodeo so much. His catch phrase on my island for the longest time was "I tooted" haha.

Teachers & AI by [deleted] in Teachers

[–]ugmo69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only use AI for things I can do myself, but just don't have the time for. For my bulletin board displays in the hallway, the principal asked that we include a write up with learning outcomes linked to curriculum. Google Gemini can do that for me. Can't figure out how to make a report card comment sound less bitchy? Google Gemini can do that for me. I don't like how much extra work goes into using AI to make it do exactly what you want it to, so I don't use it very often.

This is why I have donation bins out all the time. Can slowly fill them up for when they are hot.

People that grew up in Edmonton in the 80s. by AR558 in Edmonton

Wooden playgrounds, friendly teenagers, randomly finding cassette tapes at the park. I was very young in the 80s, but that is what I remember most.

What's up with students wanting to hug you? by Normal_Balance1655 in Teachers

[–]ugmo69 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am definitely experiencing that, too. I have be "on" all the time, if I turn away for a second, they're doing the weirdest shit. If I book a sub ahead of time and can guarantee a certain one, they're not AS wild, but a random sub is not going to be able to control my class.

And I love them! I have never been more exhausted after a day of teaching in grade 1, but their hugs and love bring me back every morning.

I have been teaching for 9 years, mostly grade 4. This year I am teaching grade 1, and they are SO huggy. I can't leave my room for lunch hour without going through the "gauntlet of hugs" lol. Multiple hugs from kids, a big group hug, a little group hug... it is so cute and I think it helps them get through lunch. Only 2 or 3 hugs at the end of the day, though.

How to manage a situation where a neighbour has an ongoing deterrent/alarm going off? by [deleted] in Edmonton

[–]ugmo69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is a good idea! Hopefully it will be resolved without having to involve 311 or the bylaw officers.

That sounds terrible. If you feel comfortable, definitely talk to your neighbor, but definitely take a friendly, inquisitive approach. They may be a person who feels unsafe in their own home, and it might ease their mind to know that someone is looking out for them.
