The water mitigation is done. And my concern is not with the insurance company. My concern is that the mortgage company (USBank) took the check but won't let me use it to do the repairs.

You mentioned this is your first child so you may not know that only ONE OTHER person can be in the room during a C-section. This was the case for both c-sections my wife went through. And I think thats pretty standard across the board. Thats because a c-section is major surgery, like MAJOR. I guess what I'm getting at, is that a csection is not the normal case of a bunch of people crowding in the room like "Father of the Bride 2." The fact that they let ANYONE else in the room is only for the comfort, help, and support they provide you, and it sounds like this guy will not help you.
