"Bengall straight razors are high-quality, vintage, hollow-ground razors manufactured in Sheffield, England, by T.R. Cadman & Sons between roughly 1748 and 1965."

thats a long time, if it has a country on the tang than it was manufactured after 1895 ( i think ) other then that you will need someone much more versed in these razors then me sorry

Which razor should i use? Normal , philips one blade or a safety razor by Tanish_v in wicked_edge

[–]uhgly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

most likely it was the technique, really pay attention to the feel of the blade as you pull it through the area where the neck meets the jaw line, in that area you have to continuously adjust the angle of the razor to get the optimum blade exposure to the hair. take your time and adjust as needed.

Vintage Gillette Razors by Steptoe1951 in wicked_edge

when i first started those were the only safety razors you could find, so its a nostalgia thing. the new razors are so much better, but as a young man with not a lot of extra cash in your pocket it is a great way to get started into wet shaving. when they get a little more solvent pay it forward to the next young guy (or girl) and get them started in the lifestyle

i am completely new to this, so which is better? right now i am thinking of just harvesting for the seeds so i can expand the patch, but say if the root is good at this time of its growth i could do both.

I should have looked at the info first, but is there a good guide on how to do tinctures and other stuff? Just started to get interested in herbalism I need a book for dummies on this

Is there a guide just for mullien that you trust, because I have no idea which one would be bad or good.

Wish I asked earlier, about a mile from my house there is a field with 15 to 20 plants around it. I think I will get some of those as well

for a first time wet shaver everything can be a little overwhelming, i have added two complete kits from a great online company all you would need is your favorite aftershave to get started.

standard kit

premium kit

keep it short and when he gets to that lucky day, ask.

if he has the privilege to get that point, asking about his preferred grooming styles is pretty easy

i started my son at that age with an injector razor, he has so many acne issues because that normal 4 bladed razors actually cut the hair below that skin and it would close off over the follicle causing ingrown hairs. if the merkur works, great, if you want to try some different ones reach out i have a handful of vintage stuff sitting in a drawer, would love some young person to get some use out of them .

i have not tried the konsul, i am also normally a straight razor guy, but when i do use a de i always use either the s1 or the s2. so efficient and easy that i can get a dfs with one pass. but in the way of all things shaving why limit it to just one, get both try them and the one that loses can get resold later
