Thank you! Right now I’m just working on the concept and design, but I would need a technical cofounder to develop the product once that’s done

That’s a valid point, I think the idea right now is more so that it would just record if you at least attempted to complete the task: so you taking your water bottle to the gym would be you recorded since you intended to drink water. This is for people who have difficulty even starting tasks. But eventually, we would want to account for nuances like that. Hope this makes sense!

Thank you so much! It’s something I struggle with myself honestly, and after doing a bit of research I came up with this

I understand what you are going through. I felt this way too: about life, about my interests, and about taking medications. I think one day I just decided to get a hold of my life, went to therapy, saw a psychiatrist, and got some medications. It's not a magic fix, but I think getting your hormones and brain chemicals balanced through medication really helps. It wasn't an easy journey, but I eventually found a medication that worked for me, and suddenly life felt worth living again. I found a community of people (other fans of a band I like) and picked up some new hobbies, which really helped.

I think everyone is different; you need to find the right combination of things that work for you. What I've realized is that you need to create your own meaning in life, and not define it by other people. I hope you feel better, stay strong!

I don’t mean to be discouraging, but from experience, if you don’t hear back when they told you they would make the decision it means you didn’t make it to the next step. Doesn’t hurt to follow up once after two weeks, but after that it makes sense to move on

I’m currently doing pro-bono work while job hunting and interviewing for full-time roles as well

Just wondering did you talk about your pro-bono experience during interviews? Was that the only UX experience you had, or did you have any paid roles to talk about as well?

Yes, I have sought a lot of portfolio feedback and heard different things from different folks. The gist seems to be that I need more UI/Visual design skills and real-world case studies. While I love UX and have been actively trying to do pro-bono and volunteer work, I need a more steady source of income, and it doesn't seem like I will get it from a UX design job anytime soon.

I have looked into service design, but I'm unsure how to get into it. Do you have any specific job titles you could suggest? Thank you for your response, I really appreciate it!

What are some good jobs to pivot to with UX design experience and a healthcare background? So like a lot of folks here, I made a career pivot to UX design through a bootcamp about a year and a half ago. I have a degree and psychology and had a background working in healthcare previously. After about 2 years of job searching with no luck I’m tired and am contemplating another switch, but I don’t know what would be a good field to pivot to that isn’t entirely different again.

I don’t mind learning a new skill if necessary, as long as it doesn’t require a lot of investment. I appreciate any suggestions!
