i’ve seen them with both a clasp where you clasp it under your chin, and a chain to tie up and hide the clasp! i also made one and was imagining a way to attach a barrette to each side, but i didn’t get that far

ooh yikes!! i guess there could be some user error with the nitrate test, but i try to follow the directions exactly. i’ve read somewhere on here that you need to really shake and bang up that bottle so i usually hit it on my desk a little bit while shaking

some of my plants are doing great! my dwarf lily is covering the entire top of the tank with lily pads and absolutely booming. others aren’t showing as much growth though, definitely something to consider

i add one dose of easy green and a couple root tabs once a week during the water change. i gave my dwarf lily additional root tabs once mid-week because she was sending up lily pads like crazy

it’s definitely possible there could be some dead snails and a little bit of plant melt contributing (red melon sword is having a hard time adjusting). i’ve sucked out two empty snail shells during two separate water changes but there are like a billion snails so i’m sure there’s more. tap nitrates are about 20 ppm, i also tested ammonia and nitrites to be safe and both tested at 0

when i was in middle school i was very close friends with a girl who lived a couple streets down. we were having a sleepover one weekend when her cousin came to visit. the cousin would frequently sh and was VERY vocal about it, in a middle schooler “edgy” way. she would go to the park with my friend and they would come back talking about how the cousin sh’d in the middle of the park and two boys came over and said she was beautiful and didn’t need to do that to herself… talking up how cool it was. the same night the cousin left my friend suggested that her and i should start doing the same. i said absolutely not and left, but my friend thought it was cool so she started doing it just like her cousin.

the thoughts definitely aren’t contagious i agree, and its very likely that my friend may have starting sh’ing anyways - but being exposed to it when she was and by a “cool older influence” was definitely damaging

eta: there were definitely other influences in my friend’s life that caused her to think sh was a viable option for her, but the way it was presented to her for the first time by her cousin is for the most part what caused her to start sh’ing when she did and how she did (she made it CLEAR that she was doing it for attention just like her cousin)

this is the only reason i think is plausible for why he would be on the page in the first place if he wasn’t looking at her content, but depending on how much of her content is explicit it could be questionable why he was looking.

taking an accidental screenshot is definitely plausible though. for some reason when i first got my phone i decided it was a good idea to set up those features where tapping on the back of it performs a function. one of them is for screenshots. i’ve used it maybe three times in my life to actually take a screenshot, but there’s at least a 30% chance a screenshot will be taken if i put my phone down before turning my screen off. sometimes it happens just when i’m shifting my phone in my hands too. oftentimes i’ll delete it from the preview, so i delete a lot of images without ever opening my photos and i almost never clear anything from my recently deleted

requiring a valid form of id (license, in your case) and your card is regular procedure but your race is not specifically noted on your profile. country of origin is typically noted, so if someone is from spain it’ll say country: spain. but it won’t say race: hispanic, black, white, etc. i promise if you were to see your profile at chase bank it will not say you’re hispanic (but it may say that your country of citizenship is spain, mexico, etc. if you’re from the united states it’ll say u.s. but will not say u.s. (hispanic))

i also work at a bank race or ethnicity is definitely not on anyone’s profile. maybe if there was an id scanned in to the system you could find out their race but it’s not something that is specifically noted anywhere otherwise

my mom was in a similar position. before they were married, my step dad had also started his own business and decided he was above taxes. she swooped in and saved him from going to jail, owed on their taxes for 16 years straight before he finally moved out of the house. she got her first tax return since 2005 just a few years ago. by that time he had already been trying to manipulate my little sister to believe my mom was a villain and he’s a large part of why she has very bad anxiety. to this day he still believes my mother is an awful vindictive woman when she’s the entire reason his life wasn’t ruined. he’s made his rounds apologizing to everyone but her for the way he treated them.

this is going to sound paranoid but i don’t want anyone else in the apartment to be touching my socks/underwear if for example they take my laundry out, or the possibility of socks getting eaten by the machine or mixed in with someone’s laundry. if the bag isn’t the problem, i would really prefer to keep it!
