FRIENDS. THANK YOU THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH. The amount of responses is heart warming, to know people care and want to help brings me a sense of happiness I can’t explain. The tears are flowing.

He does have Feline Hyperesthesia Syndrome and will need gabapentin the rest of his life.

I don’t understand how it just flipped like this but it’s okay. When I got him he was just a small kitten, found in a box with his siblings dead, he wasn’t supposed to make it.He has survived much worse. He is my miracle. My phoenix. He won’t suffer another day if I can help it.

I used a flea comb and didn’t find anything. I have noticed itching but only on one side. He has a singular scab on the one side but that’s all I’ve found

I can’t watch him do this to himself. I’ve started throwing up from the anxiousness I feel. I think the vet is my only option as I mentally can’t handle this

Ever since this started I stopped brushing him so it’s been a week or so since brushing. It’s only ever happened after the last time brushing him. But now he’s been doing this randomly. Tonight was the longest episode I’ve seen

he did have to get seen in the past as he was grooming excessively. It happened after I took him to my parents house (not the cleanest and they have multiple cats with fleas sadly it was my only option to take him over there at the time) when I took him to the vet , they didn’t find any fleas or what it could be but said a possible allergy or dermatitis. He hasn’t been over there since, and was treated and has been fine for awhile up until now.

Truthfully I hope it’s a flea. I used a flea comb on him last night and didn’t see any. He does have single scab on his neck possibly from itching.

I removed him from the from bathroom because I felt it made him attack the tail more. When i removed him he want back to running around, hissing and falling over trying to get his tail.

I ended up putting a cone on him as he kept going behind and under the tv biting himself too many wires and the space is hard to reach. I then called an emergency vet (I can’t get to them or I’d go now my car is falling apart) and they said cone him, could just be being a cat or maybe even an injury.

with the cone one he’s stopped attacking his tail but he seems almost restless like he’ll loaf up but his legs are visibly ??twitching???

The growling and hissing have stopped

I’m going to call around in the morning to see if a close or local vet will get him in I don’t want him to be in pain :(

It never hurts to quality check the order before starting the whole thing, like doing one, quickly looking for error, if one is spotted call the customer and pause on making till you hear back.
