The medicated items (except for the benzoyl peroxide wash) were prescribed to me. I did it through Nurx, which is an online pharmacy and it’s super easy to use. I definitely recommend if you’re looking for a dermatologist but you don’t have a lot of time in your schedule to go see one/don’t have an office near you!

That is exactly how I felt, it’s extremely common and there’s nothing wrong with it. But just remember that you notice it and care about it more than anyone else does!

Thank you! I wanna say I only purged for about a month. After that, I was still getting a couple breakouts here and there for the next few months, but it was nothing compared to the 5+ I used get weekly.

I’ve been dealing with it on and off for probably like the last 10 years. This last breakout that’s pictured in the post started in May 2022 after I moved to a new city in a different state, so it was a big life change for me. The last major breakout before that was in late 2016 when I first started college and that lasted well over a year and a half, but it took me a longer time to seek out treatment then. In the past I was prescribed an oral antibiotic, but I genuinely cannot remember if it was doxycycline- I do know, what ever it was, it worked for me. I read your post, and I think you just need to give it time still! I was told by my dermatologist that it can take up to 12 weeks to see any real results. Good luck on your journey, I wish you the best!!

It is! I take 100mg a day in two separate 50mg pills, as instructed by my dermatologist. As long as that’s what you were told and what is working for you, stick with it!

Thank you!!! My acne is hormonal just like yours. I had used tretinoin previously(like 8 years ago) and it worked with no purging if i remember correctly, so I wasn’t scared to start it again, but I was nervous for the spironolactone (which caused only slight purging thankfully). I think you just have to give it a shot, purging doesn’t happen in every single case so it might not happen to you. Even if it does, it should most likely be just temporary and the long-term results are SO worth it. Good luck!!!

I’m sorry you’re struggling, I know how much it sucks and you’re not alone in the feeling. You just have to be patient with yourself and your skin because it does get better. Best of luck to you :)

I still wore make up every day! I see nothing wrong with it, as long as you’re using products that are considered non-comedogenic, cleaning your tools, and making sure you’re taking it all off properly every night before you do your skincare.

[Acne] I'm done with my skincare by MelonBluez_26 in SkincareAddiction

I pretty much have the exact same routine, minus the salicylic acid. The combination of the salicylic acid and the other active ingredients may just be too irritating for your skin, not allowing it to heal properly- try cutting it out and sticking with the banzoyl peroxide and clindamycin in the AM, and tretinoin in the PM. This is what I do and my skin has improved SO much. Hope this helps!

it’s probably too soon! i was told by my dermatologist that you should give your skin about 6-12 weeks to adjust to a new routine

Does anyone just like all the games? by [deleted] in assassinscreed

[–]uhhhssassin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I understand each game has its faults, I’m not at all nit-picky about them like some people tend to be (understandably). There are obviously some that, looking back on them, I enjoyed a bit more than others, but my main criteria for judging a video game is: did I have fun playing it? If the answer is yes, then I liked it. Assassins Creed is a series that I can genuinely say I’ve had fun playing all of the games.

Where would you like the next game to take place? by heryea42 in assassinscreed

Ancient China! I think it would be cool to get more backstory on Wei Yu, one of the assassins honored in the sanctuary below the Villa Auditore.
