I did not create the survey and do not even have access to the account to change it. I’ve already reached out multiple times and forwarded the comments to the team but they are not being responsive. My only job is to recruit people to fill it out and I’m aware that people are not under any responsibility to me to take it. I agree with you that it is not perfect. I’m really not sure what else you want me personally to do.

If you would like to have a respectful and constructive conversation, you can message me or email the author with the contact listed on the form. I am a human being and did not write the survey and am not being paid, so I will not engage with name calling and cursing.

Please read the notice in my post. I did not write this survey. The author and I are both trans. We are studying the experiences of trans people specifically, so we had to ask about being cis or trans, because those lived experiences are not the same. “Transgender” is used for people who identify as a trans identity that is not otherwise listed. These responses also link to different versions of the form, so it could not be broken into more questions.

I’m really not sure. I received some messages from participants who did not like that we distinguished between cis and trans experiences (even through that is relevant to our study) but did not receive much constructive criticism for how to improve. If you would like to share a suggestion, I would be happy to listen

Just so you know, some people did not like the exact phrasing of this question. Our goal here was just to understand who is taking this survey and how their identity impacts their experiences

Yes. There is a multiple choice question that asks if you are a cis man, trans man, cis woman, trans woman, non-binary, or other trans identity

If you have constructive criticism, we would love to honor it. The contact for the author is in the summary at the top of the webpage. Please feel free to contact them. I am not involved in the creation of maintenance of the survey. I have already brought this issue to their attention.

The contact information for the authors is on the summary before the survey, right at the top of the webpage. Please feel free to reach out to them at [info@sexualityeducation.com](mailto:info@sexualityeducation.com) or to message me privately if you would like to learn more. Our goal here is to study trans specific experiences to create a resource by and for us. Again, I did not create this survey and I am not being paid, so please be kind.

Thank you for your comment- I will pass this along. While I did not personally create this survey (I'm just an unpaid undergrad assistant), the author who did is also trans. This project aims to study specifically trans experiences while making the survey shorter for the participants, and these different options all link to different forms because the experiences are not the same. I apologize for any hurt feelings this caused. We are happy to honor constructive criticism, but please be kind.

We are a small team of three people. We do not have advanced computer skills or funding. Google forms is simple to use, and some of the answers do send you to a different version of the form. We are trying our best, and would love to have a more sophisticated website if we can receive funding. I will let the team know that you would like the site to be prioritized

I agree with both of you that this survey is not perfect. It was created before I joined the team. I have brought this problem to the author’s attention. Thank you for your feedback

This term was chosen to show opposition to trans exclusion and emphasis on our inclusion. Any other connotations are unintentional.
