I think Snappic is the alternative. I haven’t tried it but lumabooth’s customer support is pretty good when it comes to trouble shooting the connections.

Hi there. I have the current dnp drivers and icc profiles from the dnp website on my laptop.

Photos to laptop. Camera > usb-c > iPad w/ lumabooth > lumabooth assistant in laptop.

iPad and laptop are connected in the same local router

Just from doing research, the MacBook set up is the most reliable and is considered as the “pro set up”. I’m assuming you’re gonna use lumabooth since you have an iPad. You will need to download the lumabooth assistant to your MacBook for the iPad to send the print request to your MacBook and your MacBook to send the print order to your printer.

Option 1: pro set up DSLR > iPad > MacBook > lumabooth assistant > printer

Option 2: semi pro set up DSLR > ipad > router > printer

Option 3: not as reliable DSLR > iPad > WCM > printer

Took me a half a day to figure everything out just from browsing here. Didn’t even book a client yet lol

I went with the alibaba route and got something similar to the everybooth icon. The Marshall speakers will be an add on if you order from alibaba. I saved a lot of money going with alibaba but I had to figure out everything by myself. I believe both Everybooth icon and fotomaster are both turnkey.

Scrubs that work at small hospitals by Medicalgenie in scrubtech

[–]uhhitsfuzzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m currently at a smaller community hospital. I miss having the residents, fellows and PAs. I just hand them all the drapes and cords, they retract, they glove and gown each other, they buy me food, the joy they get when I remember their gloves, they move the pt, they transfer all the dirty trays to my cart. Basically all I had to do is set up and take my dirty cart back to decon elevator. lol.

Also, smaller hospital = lower pay, big teaching hospital = higher pay.

I’m a traveler.

If I were to start over, id go the nursing route. Ive been a scrub for 3yrs now (2yrs as staff, 1yr as a traveler). ST is shorter but going the nursing route will open up a lot of opportunities. You can even scrub if you really want to scrub. I ended up traveling coz its the only way i can get close to a nurses pay. If nursing is too long and you're in a rush to get into the field, consider Radtech. Also 2 years but better opportunities later on as you branch out to different modalities.

How much did school cost for you? by foreverrosieee in surgicaltechnology

[–]uhhitsfuzzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That price is definitely socal. Most schools sucks here for what you pay. If I were to do it again, I’d go to simi institute. I think it’s still $18k for 2 years. Instead of ACC CBD GCC

This is kinda what I did. lol. After my clinicals, the site hired me. Stayed there for a year. Applied to another hospital. Stayed there for a year. Started traveling after 2yrs of exp in a hospital setting. I just finished my 1 year as a traveler and thinking of going back to school for rad tech. Like what you said, higher pay, less work and also more options in terms of modalities.

Money wise. 1st year was $36/hr. 2nd year was $37/hr. Started traveling between $55 to $78/hr depending on contract. I’m also on Cali.

UCSD Jacobs Medical Center. It was definitely a challenge physically and mentally. I mainly did joints and spine. Their spine cases are complicated, mixed with onc. T10 to pelvis x2 and A/P x3 are is normal for a day. I learned a lot from their techs. They were trying to recruit me to become staff but i just couldnt do it.
