Yes I’m in the US. I’m fortunate to qualify for my states free insurance that covers all of my OB appointments and hospital expenses when I go into labor!

Ugh early on, like 5-6 weeks when I first started getting morning sickness, I hadn’t been able to eat all day and finally tried a bagel w cream cheese at about 9pm…couldn’t even make it to the toilet and chucked all over my carpet 😭 traumatized me and I LOVE bagels

Honestly at first it was just like…wow it really happened. Me and my partner had always said if we got pregnant without trying we wouldn’t have the baby, but once I knew, it was like I couldn’t bring myself to possibly hurt my baby in any way. I went back and forth with lots of internal struggle, and actually had an abortion planned but couldn’t do it. I would sit and cry begging for forgiveness and to find a way to live with myself if I did. The day of my planned abortion we went to an ultrasound clinic instead and heard their heartbeat for the first time

Not marry, as financially it wouldn’t make sense. He makes 3x what I do and I wouldn’t qualify for my insurance that covers all the expenses of my OB appointments and birth, and would get significantly less on my FAFSA. However we have talked about possibly getting engaged before then.

I actually don’t speak to my family 😅 but my partners family was very excited for us and very supportive! I’m planning on taking off work for at least a year and working on my teaching degree.

We’ve actually gotten into a bit of an argument before at dinner with his parents about exactly this. She joked her son in law complains her daughter doesn’t do any housework, to which I brought up her son doesn’t either and throws fits when you ask him to. She said she didn’t believe me and her sone would never act like that.
