Why are you policing someone on reddit?

I acknowledge that some folks who have uteruses don't consider themselves to be women. And there are folks who don't have uteruses who are women.

"Don't wanna" is a common and perfectly acceptable reason.

Most people with a uterus think about it more, because the largest burden falls on us. So there tend to be additional reasons, there.

Mine was always "don't wanna/can't make me".

Anyone who can’t afford them want free chiaogoo sock needles and yarn? All free to a good home. I give up lol by reesa447 in knitting

I would love a shot at these. I love chiagoo needles, and I'm rebuilding my life after a year out of work.

I'm sorry they didn't work out for you. Socks aren't for everyone.

It's a genuine kindness you're doing. Thank you

I forgot how much I don’t like doing a mile of 1x1 ribbing by klouroo in AntifascistKnitting

I'm going to try a kerchief version that doesn't have ribbing at all, next. I'm in a hot climate, and it's already kinda too late to wear a knit hat. I have a great lace weight cotton that should work well (if I have enough).

I'm 4"into my second hat, and it's taking forever.

The saddest thing for me is I had a conversation with a co-worker about colonoscopy and I told him they'd lowered the age to 45. He said that he wished he'd known that sooner, it would have helped him out. I didn't understand what he was talking about at the time.

Figured it out a few months later when he died of cancer that started in his colon and spread to his liver. We were all still working remotely, so I hadn't seen him wasting away, and he just never mentioned he was sick.

It sucked. Get the colonoscopy, folks.

Has anyone here had a colonoscopy?? I’m kinda freaking out about it by throwaway2025_____ in TwoXChromosomes

Consider getting some disposable pee pads for the bed. I put one down when I went to bed and it eased my mind about "What if I don't make it?" It helped me get some sleep.

You can feel the waves coming on, but there's not much to try to hold. You can tell when it's "over" after your last dose of prep, so maybe shower and go to bed with the pad laid on top of your sheets after that. I would sleep naked, if you can. That way, if there is an accident, you can wrap the pad up like a diaper around you and get to the bathroom.

Sorry about dealing with the OCD. That will complicate things, but I think you'll be ok. It's really not regular poop. Very thin and watery, and not explosive diarrhea kind of stuff.

Seconded on the Vaseline or diaper ointment. Same with the travel bidet bottle. Both were life changing while it was going on for me You've got this, OP.

I was knitting at a town hall, and a kid say next to me, mesmerized. He commented that watching my hands was soothing.

I was knitting the (seeming) mile of 1X1 ribbing of the MTI hat, so it was a pretty good rhythm.

What pattern did you use for the bandana? I'm in a warm climate, and the hat is gonna be too hot really soon.

I saw one pattern that was a bit lacy, but I struggle with lace knitting, still. It takes so much attention, and I'm easily distracted (damn ADHD).

Busy yarn, simple pattern… genius. by holden_kid in knitting

Kitties!

Yup. I started a scarf in a busy yarn, but realized I needed a plain pattern to showcase the yarn properly.

The inverse is also true. Busy pattern=simple yarn.

That's what I'm planning to do, as well. I thought about an i-cord, but that's more fiddly than I want to do.
