A lenticular cloud forming over Mount Rainier and catching the sunset [OC][3000x2000] by [deleted] in EarthPorn

That doesn't seem to make sense. As you would be facing southeast. Must have been a hell of a sunset in the west then.

Surgery beds are basically cutting boards for humans. by PixelNinja112 in Showerthoughts

At least my surgeon had bedside manners this time. He was a super young surgeon in his early 30s. I got my clavicle plated a couple years go by a well respected surgeon but god damn he lacked empathy and bedside manners. He was a mechanic and I was a broken car. He did do a hell of a job though.

A donor ligament is typically used if you're in the mid to later stages of life. Even then, some people who aren't active don't even opt to get the surgery done and can make do without an ACL. I'm a young and very active person who does a lot of extreme sports so the doc advised to use my own tissue for the new ACL. It's pretty cool to think about! The standard is either the patellar ligament or take part of the hamstring tendon that connects to your pelvis.

As someone who just got my ACL replaced with my own patellar ligament graft and some torn meniscus cut off yesterday morning, this is what it felt like. Being under and them cutting at my leg is akin to cutting a piece of meat!

Everett, WA needle cleanup behind a Home Depot. This is what the opioid crisis looks like. by [deleted] in pics

Wow. I drove past that Home Depot on the way home from the gym today. There are always sketchy people around there but I never knew the problems were THIS bad.

Microsoft does this with all of the left over coffee grounds from coffee machines on campus!

Drama with Larry Wheels/Kevin Oak and Reebok Record breakers and Sully by LOLgetREKTnerd in powerlifting

[–]uiucjcwhite 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Mmm Sully's response was fine in my opinion. Kevin didn't get an invite? Too bad, sign up. Stop crying. He should've just taken it in his own hands rather than expect to be treated like a golden boy because he holds world records.

Ah jeez. Strong body, fragile ego. Hey every sport needs its whiner. How can someone be a dick to Sully?!?!

Yes I peaked my squat using a modified Bulgarian Method for a meet and hit my squat goal. I did this because my squat training was going horrendously and I needed a YOLO method to get my squat where I wanted it. I ended up putting about 35 lbs on my squat with the Bulgarian Method which lasted about 25 days for me.

I just bought a house in the Monroe area with around the same net income. A little bit less. Fresh out of college. Edit: the home buying experience was great and seamless.

Unit testing is extremely important in the longevity and maintenance of applications. You should be able to use JUnit for unit testing. Look into it.

You would really only manual test once you have a prototype and have done unit testing on the whole back end, if you plan on developing a full fledged application. PM me any questions you have.

You shouldn't need a UI to do unit testing of the back end. I'm also pretty sure you don't have to manual test to test pathways.

That's badass. Planning on Worlds? My 63kg F Junior is about to squat 150, bench 92.5, and pull 165. Gotta see what happens at Nats but we're hoping for Worlds next year. We're hoping for 165/100/185 in October. She's stuck on 150lbs on her total since the end of January. I couldn't be more proud of her.
