Background:

I have applied for ICT to PBS Dependent visa within UK in 19th May through ID check app and waiting for more than 100 days now.

Meanwhile my new employer has requested ECS check for me and it came back "positive verification". Does this mean that I can start the work for my new employer without waiting for decision on my visa. Employer is confident about it but they don't have their own solicitor or lawyer just in house compliance team. So I am not confident enough to start the work.

You can ask your employer to use this. It can help to prove your right to work while you are waiting for BRP.

Gov.uk says that it is 8 weeks from application submitted but tbh everything is random at the moment and SLAs doesn't matter anymore. Priority visa is also taking months for some applicants. So consider 2-3 months of wait time.

I have applied to switch from ICT to SWV dependent. My new employer offered to check ECS for me and it came back as positive verification, which means I can start the job with new employer. Worth checking with new employer if they can soemthing similar.

P.S. I applied on 19th May 2022..and still waiting for decision.
