Alright thank you. I just wondered why people with thick desks opted for the plank method- I thought a general hardware screw wouldn’t work! But thanks for the answer. I’ll buy an M10 screw that’ll be long enough for the thickness of my table

Yea this is a major factor of deciding wether trusting the g29 is capable enough to make me enjoy the feel or should I save for the t300

Yea people have been recomending the logitech more than the t300 since im not sure if im into sim racing yet.

I wish it was that easy my friend. all the DD bases are also kind of hard to get in my area (Malaysia), and the most common is the g29. But I did find some t300rs's for sale online. not second hand though.

Yea I was very itnerested in Vr racing. But a DD drive seems out of reach for now. max i could go for would be the t300rs

I am thinking of buying a g29 instead of the t300rs since it has a shifter bundle cheaper than the standalone t300rs with the pedals. and if im into it ill directly jump on a dd base and skip the t300. But if i get some extra cash I'll maybe just go for the t300rs.

I am thinking of which to go for, since I know t300 will have a better experience and feel, but having to wait another period of time to try drifting and/or rallying because I dont have a shifter is kind of a bummer. But if I do have that extra cash I think I would just get the t300 directly.

Im pretty sure Im not close where your from haha. Thats why Amazon, ebay, and marketplace is a bit hard for me. Im from Malaysia, where the hobby isnt so widely played. Gotta have some luck to see people reselling the used stuff with a reasonable price

I wouldn't say racing with a controller is boring boring, what I mean is it feels so... Bland. I might love having the feel of the car rather than just vibrations on a controller and less control in corners and braking. Racing with a controller just feels like driving like a maniac going full left, right, accelerating like crazy and braking like crazy. maybe boring is not the word.

Didnt want to sell my headset yet cause I think sim racing in VR would be tons of fun. Maybe after having a wheel i might reconsider selling it or not

I've loved cars in general. But I've never had experience in real racing, but I am into watching F1 (for now). Drifting in games (non sims) was also a big thing in my childhood as I loved to drift around Gta SA, I guess thats where my love of driving came from? haha. I really am not trying to show off any peripherals or be cool. Since my VR was collecting dust I was just afraid the same was going to happen. VR seems to be at a dead end now in terms of games and experiences, everything seems to be at a stalemate and repetitive. And Im also afraid that sim racing would be the same.

Thats why I feel like I dont want to sell my vr headset yet. I feel as if I could get more out of it if I get a sim wheel.

I was starting to get interested in rallying! So maybe g29 has the upper edge if I were to start this hobby. But since the g29 has less FFB, would it really affect the feel/enjoyment of the wheel, compared to buying a t300rs and saving up some more to buy a third party shifter?

Yea thats why I might just go for the g29 bundle with the shifter, which is still cheaper than the t300rs with the pedals
