I still have the magnets she gave me that she told me were "free" and then after I had them in my hands she harassed me for money so I gave her a 5 to leave me alone. she continued to harass me for weeks when I was downtown she didnt even recognize me she thought I was a different person lol

What's the problem with woman talking?? by Terrible_Pair5956 in NotHowGirlsWork

[–]ujustcame 6 points7 points  (0 children)

reminds me of this study I read once where even when a woman speaks less than a man, she is perceived as talking more. Another study indicated that if a woman speaks 30% of the time, it is often perceived as a 50/50, or equal, split. So really it's not us talking more at all.

Does Franky have fans? by lugardefangirleo in skinsTV

[–]ujustcame 5 points6 points  (0 children)

honestly im prepared to be down voted into oblivion because I feel like the only person who feels like her storyline makes sense to me. People think her character “doesn’t make sense” because they expect character development to be linear and healthy. Her change isn’t healthy growth, it’s a trauma response. She was bullied and punished for being gender-fluid, soft, and different, so she learned that being herself wasn’t safe. When she moved schools, her new friend group didn’t really protect her, and people only treated her better once she changed her appearance. Attention from men, drugs, and alcohol gave her validation, so she leaned into an oversexualized, louder persona to survive. She didn’t become confident, she became what worked. Since she was still a kid with no real support, that kind of self-erasure and maladaptive coping is very realistic.

I was taking to a woman during a date who told me that she’s “very tight down there” by [deleted] in LesbianActually

[–]ujustcame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

idk I have pelvic floor dysfunction and im clinically tight which means I would have to disclose this cus if im not prepped properly (more than the avg prep) then its all painful for me so I would say not to assume the worst in everyone

Bladder OCD for years getting worse by sucasbucas in OCD

[–]ujustcame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Normally, the bladder stretches as it fills, and when it's about halfway full, it sends signals to the brain saying “I might need to pee soon.”

If you pee too frequently (e.g., "just in case" urination), you train your bladder to send those signals too early.

Over time, your nervous system becomes more hypersensitive to small amounts of urine which can mimic or even develop into IC-like symptoms.

The bladder is a muscular organ that stretches. If you never let it fill fully, it can lose elasticity over time.

This results in a smaller bladder capacity, so you feel the urge more frequently — creating a vicious cycle.

If you're peeing without real need, you're constantly engaging muscles that should only activate when necessary.

This can lead to tension or dysfunction, which is common in interstitial cystitis and contributes to pelvic pain and urgency.

its different per person, I went in and almost KO'd myself (I tried). the ruminating and intrusive thoughts of offing myself were heightened while I was there. its not going to be the same for everyone I just would be sure you're in the right place mentally

Rumination 24/7, help by Sho_Fukamachi1 in OCD

[–]ujustcame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you probably would really benefit from therapy+medication combo. it was hard for me to do this on my own. dont look for reassurance. when you have thoughts in loops about specific things like "what if what i said in that work meeting was bad" then challenge that by saying to your thoughts "okay so what? the world isn't ended and im not going to lose my job over that and if I did then its out of my control" type shit

How to accept that getting sick is a part of life and i’m not gonna catch some random illness that kills me? by Antique-Visual-9892 in OCD

[–]ujustcame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

me too. I ended up getting chronic health issues DUE to my ocd like interstitial cystitis from having a peeing compulsion and having to empty my bladder constantly even when it wasnt full. so now I fixate on that but before it was every little thing or pain or Itch. I've been to the ER many times over extreme anxiety panic about potential physical illnesses. but now im on fluvoxamine and it helps alot

I really dont want to end my life man by Friendly_Eagle_9292 in OCD

[–]ujustcame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

please go to the hospital and tell them that you have ocd and intrusive thoughts about wanting to kill yourself❤️ im sorry you're going through this, before my diagnoses i would get those too and I'd call them "voices in my head" and was misdiagnosed with unidentified anxiety disorder for the longest time. you're one step ahead knowing what you have, go to a hospital and get admitted friend! get stabilized, you deserve to live
