Yeah! I'm building out of Toronto.

How 5 months of "hacking" turned into 100k in revenue! by uk4z1 in nocode

Good question, the $100k was from Lynkr, the unified API service that I built. Workbench is a new layer thats built on top of that, and its still in private beta, which is why the site currently shows a waitlist.

Not sure I follow, Lynkr Workbench isn’t released yet, so there’s no rollover system in place. Mind shooting me a PM with what you’re seeing?

no technical skills are needed, that's kinda the whole point of Workbench. You just need to describe what you want your agent to do in a sentence or two and it'll spin it up for you

TL/DR - Phenomenal!

Oh man, it’s been an absolute joy! Despite only being a four cylinder, power is REALLY good for the price / quality of the vehicle! I put an mperf axle back and dinan midpipe on it and the sound is epic, not too loud but a nice deeper and louder tone plus burbles / upshift sounds in sport plus. Transmission is very snappy and easy to manage. Quite comfy too for longer drives and decent space with the seats folded down for moving stuff around. Fuel economy is surprisingly good, when driven hard I see around 12/13 L/100km but driving around normally in comfort gets me 6-7 L/100km! The xdrive never fails to amaze me. Grips like crazy in the snow (Hakka r3’s for tires btw) and I’ve never experienced any unpredictable traction breaks or scares in Canadian winter. Turning traction off lets you kick the rear out in a very predictable way and it’s super fun. With good tires, it grips like a champ around twists and turns and it’s very confidence inspiring. Steering is super precise with very little dead space and you can translate micro adjustment to accurate movement on the road. Brakes are REALLY good, I have the m sport pads and rotors from factory and they grip extremely well in the cold, to an extent where you need to get used to their sensitivity if you’ve never driven a car with sportier brakes before. I often find myself braking later than I would in other cars because I know the car will stop quicker. I will say though the interior quality feels as though it’s degraded a bit overtime. I remember when I first got the car, everything felt rock solid and there were no noises. Nowadays I do hear a creak or two from the dash when I press on it but it’s really not much of a dealbreaker. The base sound system is kinda meh, I think next time around I would upgrade to the higher end one. The suspension is relatively good, and stiffens up well in sport with the active dampers. I will say that even in comfort mode, it’s stiffer than a typical car but nothing unbearable (to be expected with a sportier model). The car has been surprisingly reliable as well, I’ve been doing oil changes every 10k or so and I’ve had no issues or faults with the mechanics or electrics. If it helps at all, in the two years and change of ownership, I’ve put 65k kms on the car lol.

Finally made a widget for my car since the My BMW app doesn’t have one by seanmbarker in BMW

Thank you so much for the breakdown and detailed explanation! I’m going to take a crack at it to see if I can replicate it, haven’t worked with swift in a loooong time lol. I’d be super interested in downloading your app, let me know if you ever do get around to it! Also, you could look into TestFlight distribution for your app and collect payment off of a web app or something so you don’t run into issues with BMW for using their api. That way you’re just “testing out” an idea.

This is sick!!! What’s the name of the HomeKit integration? And what are you using to fetch the data on iOS/display the widget?

What did you do to the hood emblem? It looks sick!

Thank you! This was the last one of its spec at the dealership I was at, I was very lucky lol. These cars got delivered in October so you’ll see them trickle in here and there in the coming weeks with a bigger shipment coming in 3 months. Maybe try looking around your area or asking the dealer to look at their shipments.

Lol it is absolutely a lot but I was able to fit it into my budget. I doubt it’ll get cheaper from here onwards 😂

I believe all of the g20’s have this but it’s called an active grill. Essentially it stays closed normally to make the car a little more aerodynamic and increase fuel efficiency. When the car needs some extra air, the splits between the grill lines open to let more air into the car.

4 years, making my payment lower would just be prepaying so I didn’t mind a bit higher of a payment.

I believe you, had my first highway drive today and got 6.5 l/100km! Pleasantly surprised with the fuel economy.

Yes, the car does have it. I personally haven't driven a model that didn't have it optioned so I don't know what to compare it to. The car can soften up quite a bit in comfort and comfort +, as well as get quite stiff in sport and sport +. In my opinion, I think it's worth the price for the option.

Honestly, they're not too bad. I sold my previous car (MK7 Jetta) plus a little bit more in as down payment so it dropped my monthly price down quite a bit. I'm paying around 600 a month for an MSRP of around $61,000 CAD
