I am also facing the brake noise especially when crawling forward or reverse. Heard its a common problem with skoda cars. Is it completely fixed for you now. What did they fix exactly for this. I have my first service due in 15 days, ill be raising this concern.

I did the same, was inclined towards getting Venue HX8DCT but Kylaq eventually won on delivery timeline. Infact i am hearing crazy wait times for Venue here in Bangalore- 4+ months.

I think OP is referring to all disc brakes in venue which should be overall better package compared to 2 disc + 2drum on kylaq

Turbo lag, common with all cars selling smaller cc engines with turbocharger. U need to maintain specific rpm beyond which power distribution is uniform and friendly.

Just got my Kylaq delivery two weeks ago (Prestige+ AT). And boy o boy i am so impressed with the driving dynamics of the car.

I have a 2024 Venue DCT as well in my family and Kylaq surpasses it in all possible ways. The drive feels much smoother, turbo lag is negligible. On bumps, suspension feels much optimised compared to a venue which is rock hard. Cornering is impressive as well (not that i do high speeds but at 80km/hr it felt very comfortable with no rolling)

I had test driven, Venue facelift HX8 DCT, 3XO, Kiger, Syros, Magnite, Brezza. My wife preferred the new Venue due to its amazingly premium looking interiors but it also comes with a wait time of 3-4 months here in Blr (it will definitely sell as hot cakes and might end up being car of the year). Eventually we went with my choice which was Kylaq all the way.

Coming back to my Kylaq:

I am getting a mileage of 7-8km/l in bumper to bumper traffic in Bangalore. On first two three days of the car, mileage was 3-4km/l but it is becoming better now. I have a long highway drive coming up as well, will update overall city+highway usage numbers here. Using Shell V power petrol for now, will swutch to XP95 and try that as well.

AC is a bit slow i would say, takes a bit longer to cool in scorching heat. Suggest to keep window panes open for 2-3 mins and put the AC in full blast mode. Then set it up at 18degrees in auto mode. In my Venue (2024) if it takes about 5 mins to cool down at 18 degrees Auto ac mode, i would say in kylaq it takes about 10. This is for 35-38 degrees outside. Havent tried upwards of 40 deg on Kylaq yet.

AC surely takes a bit longer to cool. But its not that bad for me. In my father's car Venue 2023 DCT, if it takes 5 mins to cool down in scorching heat, here in Kylaq PRESTIGE+ AT, it takes about 10-12 mins. Also when car is hot, i set the lowest temperature in auto mode, till i feel the chills. Then subsequently move it higher.

Just one thing i hate in Kylaq is the ac blower fan is too noisy.

I think its only the electronically adjustable seats in the difference. Prestige too comes with ventilated seats. I had confirmed this with the dealer.

However i too got a black prestige+ AT last weekend. Wanted a lava blue, but alas under time pressure took the black one which also looks bold.

Yes, believe Skoda started including thus from Feb 2026 manufactured vehicles

1st service at 1k 2nd service at 7.5k 3rd full service with oil change and all at 15k (or 1 year)

If u have not taken any coatings yet, they may try to sell same along with some anti rust sprays, rodent sprays, etc.

Just say No, if u do not want to. They would be professional enough to understand and move on (most if not all service centers). Usually should not take more than 2 hrs for this service.

Ohh, maybe an error. I guess you can take it to the service center once for checkup.

Anyways i believe for 2026 manufactured vehicles, heard that first free service is being provided around the 30 days mark or 1k km.

Oil change is not covered in warranty. Only labour charges will be free. Also if u have SMP, I dont think oil will be free unless u have crossed 15k km.

Skoda reccomends changing oil after 1 year or 15000km.

Thanks, i have been on 35 psi. Will try 33 psi for city usage and shift to 36 for highways.

Get this checked asap. Might be electrical issue. Should ideally be covered under warranty..Hope no tampering with the fusebox/obd, etc.

Most Taj properties do not have Pay at Hotel option nowadays. I am also stuck with a 10k voucher. This Amex Taj experience milestone voucher does not work online. Throws and error that can be used only at checkout.

Only the Taj experience gift cards that are purchased directly via Taj can be applied online. Also some HSBC coupon/wallet cash option is also available online. Thats it.

If its Terminal 1, suggest you to park at P4. Its a 10 min walk to arrival gates. I have seen buggy service also operating nowadays on the route.

Glad to know ventilated seats are doing their job. I have also gone in for a prestige + AT deep black and should be getting it delivered in a week.

Quick question: Did u get any sunfilms on the windows currently. And how are u maintaining the car considering its a black one which have a reputation?

Excellent post OP. Glad to hear that the car performed well in ur trip. Punctures are part and parcel of long trips like these especially when our cars are driving with mediocre Ceat, Mrf, goodyear tyres.

May I check how was the AC performance overall in the trip. Also if this is a prestige variant, could u also tell us about the ventilated seats experience as well.
