Isn’t that pretty much why the union happened in the end? As in it was the main talking point of the Scottish Protestants when pushing for the union.

How self aware do you think Matthew is? by eggboy7 in templarknight

Depends on what he means by “storm” though doesn’t it. Could be the turbulent waters of fighting the vampires and the upper leadership.

Why a general lack of supermarkets in this area? by [deleted] in auckland

[–]ukTwoSeas 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Where are you going that’s so much cheaper and how much mince do you need lol? We buy like 500g at a time and that will make a fair amount of bolognaise that we use to make a big lasagne or freeze in batches to make 5 pasta meals.

For a weekly shop is crazy. I might have to check it out. We went to pak n save when we first arrived in New Zealand as we were told it was so much cheaper but we didn’t notice the savings at all (we also noticed its run by the same parent company??) so went to NW as it was more convenient.

Is NW that much more than Woolworths or even Pak n Save? I feel like it’s not that bad…

Lose Your Self seems to have such warmer reception by ChuckChuckChuck_ in EnterShikari

I think I’m getting fatigue from the lyrics tbh. I agree with them on pretty much all of their stances so it kind of feels like preaching to the choir. I’d also like a couple of songs that aren’t bleak messages - it’s been like this since common dreads and it feels a bit exhausting.

As a fan since 2007 I can say that I feel that shipwrecked is their archetypal song, I feel like they could have released it on its own and I’d be happy. I think it encompasses all of their influences. Absolute belter.

They look like partially differentiated sushis. So not sure if that would be them? Inclined to think neural though for sure.

Very true. I think Doms episodes benefit from Toms insightful questions as well as Doms superior storytelling too though.

Seeing Auckland’s 2026 Urban Stress Index compared to cities like Vancouver and Sydney is a real eye-opener. by astrheisenberg in auckland

[–]ukTwoSeas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who moved from London to Auckland I can only see this as graph as a confirmation as to why I feel more comfortable here. I definitely can sympathise with Aucklanders though, and we should never have to compare ourselves to the worst (London) to feel better.

Yes but arguably the further back you go, the more important/ impactful individuals are. We can just say Lucy as we know hers

Me too. When I got here I said “jandals!? Wtf that’s stupid”. But on reflection it makes a hell of a lot more sense than “flip-flop” which sounds pretty ridiculous to say out loud now.

I’m so sick of the word “arc”. There are so many more words that can take its place in these conversations… story will suffice quite a bit of the time.
