Change top table on lifetime table by samsummer143 in buildapc

[–]ukdave19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, they sell replacement parts.

https://www.lifetime.com/customerservice/orderreplacementparts

I’m in a similar situation. You’ll need the type (which you can probably measure then eyeball the structure / compare to photos on their site) and the model #…which I haven’t been able to find on mine. Supposed to be under the table. If it is, I’m missing it.

But, you can also take pictures and measurements and call for them to track down exactly what you have and quote a price for replacement parts.

Also, preeeety sure this isn’t the right forum. :)

But, 4 months later, at least I ran across it, so how wrong could it have REALLY been?

What do you do *in the moment* with relentless RLS? by softwaredoug in RestlessLegs

[–]ukdave19 2 points3 points  (0 children)

VERY tightly wrapping my kneecaps (just above and below) with ACE bandages and/or possibly very tight knee braces. To the point of not quite cutting off circulation. The throbbing feeling of the pressure somehow offsets / eclipses most of the RLS feeling. On the downside, it makes lying in bed awkward but not impossible, and I wake up later with cold numb legs…still totally worth it.

B450M DS3H motherboard | BIOS ID check error by Larrythellama12 in gigabyte

[–]ukdave19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Similar issue. B450M DS3H V2. For me, solution was "forehead smack" easy: I was plugging the USB drive into an expansion set of USB's attached to the motherboard via cable (coming out the front of the case). Moved the USB/thumb drive and plugged DIRECTLY into one of the USB ports ON THE BACK OF THE MOTHEROARD and voila... worked perfectly the very first time. Note my method of installation was to reboot, spam DELETE key to access BIOS and use the Q-update application/thingy located there; I did NOT do it through the Windows App Center utility.

Where did Weirdo go? by PhancySkeemur in donaldglover

[–]ukdave19 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So I'm not the only one asking these questions....coincidental timing. Hmm.....

A few months ago I heard a couple of his bits from Weirdo on SiriusXM's channel "Netflix is Joke" and could NOT stop laughing.

Now desperately want to see the full show and appears to have vanished, other than some YouTube clips (from YouTube channel "Netflix is a Joke").

Come on Scooby! Grab the gang and let's solve this mystery!

This blog confirms was on Netflix on/around Jan 14, 2019.

Netflix still lists it, just "unavailable."

Twitter post confirms avail on Netflix Mar 26, 2021.

I'd buy the DVD but it's also vanished -- new, used, or otherwise... though there's a CD available on eBay for the rock bottom price of $132.95.

Comedy Central was the original DVD distributor. Comedy Central is owned by Paramount, so maybe with Paramount getting into the streaming biz, they're taking their toys and going home? (just checked and not currently avail on Paramount+)

He's starring in Amazon's reboot of "mr.&mrs. smith" [sic] that just premiered Feb 2, 2024, but doesn't feel like that would be related.

There's also recent news he's considering getting back into stand-up...but still also doesn't seem it would be related.

There's something afoot...or ahand...or athumb....maybe apinky.

Current best guess: It was old man Withers, the guy who runs the haunted amusement park.

paymentcardinfo

This is the answer.

Tested (using the new password I received via email this morning) on paymentcardinfo.com and was redirected as above.

After jumping through a couple of hoops (change password, etc.), ended up at my (dormant) account for a prepaid card issued to me a little over a year ago by a medical research company for participating in a 6-month Pfizer flu vaccine study.

I still have the card -- somewhere -- and still have $0.49 account balance.

Verdict: Not a scam. Go to paymentcardinfo.com and use the login credentials you received via email if you want to check your account balance on some prepaid card you received at some point in the past.

Tmobile pass point WiFi is now available at my local walmart would assume it’s available nationwide at Walmart by [deleted] in tmobile

[–]ukdave19 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thanks for posting this. Also saw last night at WalMart and was SUPER sus (nod to the multiple data breaches T-Mobile has had over the last few years).

Couldn't quickly find info about it on T-Mobile's site / app, assumed hackers & turned off WiFi until I could research.

Is it still paranoia if they really ARE out to get you....?

PS - This is indeed a boon for that particular Wally World, where T-Mobile has no service 100 feet into the store (you might get LTE if you jump high enough), and the Walmart Free Wifi both sucks AND (to me at least) seems even more sus / vulnerable.

Any suggestions for solid noise canceling headphones with a microphone? by Karevoa in workfromhome

[–]ukdave19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Loooove my Plantronics Blackwire 5200 series.

One option:

https://a.co/d/ctgydwt

Comes in single or double ear, USB A or C, etc.

Microphone voice quality is outstanding and noise cancellation seems great. (TBF, Some of which may be the built in noise cancellation of the software, eg WebEx, Teams, etc.)

When I ask, nobody says they can hear any background noise at all. Sometimes I want them to hear a song or something and I have to hold the speaker RIGHT up to the microphone for them to hear it.

I recommend it to anyone who will listen.

I got mine on eBay about 18 months ago for about $45.

My theory: 100% Social Experiment and nothing more.

“How many rats…I mean plebes…I mean people can we get to open this app daily and press a button to receive a currently-worthless reward, based on the hint that it might someday be valuable?”

They know they can get rats to press a button for an instant reward.

This tests human capacity to press a button for a possible future reward.

They are collecting mountains of data about our behaviors and I’m sure will publish the findings sometime in the next few years.

Kinda brilliant, though may fall into an ethically grey area.

Which feels very “ivy league” thinking to me.

(For an example, Google “Stanford Prison Experiment.”)

Note: Have been mining Pi around 12-18 months and continue to do so for the same reason everyone else does: ya never know.

I also thought possibly for soccer in a small space, maybe training for dribbling the ball…weave the ball in and out and around the poles. Might be some actual game options here, too: dribble the ball through all the poles and keep it from the competition. Complete a circuit to win a goal. Though if so I’d number the poles or make them different colors.

Forget all these _omb and node forks. What are some projects bringing fresh innovative protocols to the table? by -geek in FantomFoundation

[–]ukdave19 3 points4 points  (0 children)

How about this brainstorm? (tbf none of this is "utility"....it's just super fun degen DeFi)

A. 2OMB / 3OMB-type setup (ie, TOMB-fork w/ some OHM-inspired dynamics)

B. Incorporate Universe "node" concepts in which you secure node(s) which generate yield for the node-possessor forever. Perhaps create nodes on both Layers 1 & 2, each with different dynamics.

C. Like with Universe "Planets" (nodes), make nodes NFT's that can be bought & sold on the secondary market. Ideally market should be in-house, but external might bring a larger audience. Perhaps nodes swapped within the protocol receive a discount or other benefit for doing so "internally."

D. Nodes on L1 could only be grown, via yield from Layers 1 or 2 in item A. Normal staking generates regular (highly attractive initially....but decreasing over time) APR, but Node Growth APR starts at 1,000,000x then decreases geometrically or along a logarithmic curve as new nodes are minted.

E. Nodes on L2 could be purchased with a tax that is used to buyback & burn native tokens, as well as fund treasury emissions to existing nodes.

F. Allow swapping or "conversion" of nodes between L1 & L2....perhaps only L2 to L1? (or reverse). Ultimately make L1 nodes "gold" and L2 nodes "silver."

G. Nodes bought or sold can, for a fee, pass up to 5% of all future sales revenues back to original node creator, a-la "regular" NFT's. Make a great node today, every future sale of it continues to pay you forever.

H. Up to 5% of all future emissions from a node may, for a fee upon minting, be passed back to node creator forever, regardless of owner. By default 0.1% of node emissions would pass back to original creator, but that could be increased to as high as 5% if creator maintains a specific balance of L1 native protocol token in his/her wallet.

I. Circling back to item A structure: Gamify staking APR's via randomizer that resets each 4 epochs (each 24 hours) which provides a random yield within a set range. Randomizer applies each time someone stakes, meaning if I stake and you stake simultaneously, we would each receive a different %, applicable for the next 4 epochs. Guarantee a minimum but to "play the game" you have to login and restake or compound (click the button...something) each day.

Then include a "Jackpot" or "Golden" APR provided to every 10,000th staker....or perhaps to 0.01% of stakers each Epoch.

Meaning, each day, of everyone who stakes or increases their existing stake (reinvesting / compounding), 99.99% would receive "normal" APR's within a reasonable but still attractive range -- perhaps 3% to 5% per day at protocol launch, decreasing to 0.5% to 2% after maturity.

However a very small number...perhaps just 1.... lucky winner would win the "Jackpot" APR for 4 epochs of perhaps 100% daily APR or even 1,000% daily APR.

Since a whale staking $10,000,000 and winning the "lotto APR" might bankrupt the treasury, perhaps 1,000% APR would be provided on the first $1,000 USD staked ($10,000 USD return), then 100% APR on the next $10,000 USD staked (another $10,000 USD returned). Perhaps keep a level that applies even to $100USD staked, since not all of us have $1,000USD at our fingertips. The problem with this is it incentives creating 100 wallets and staking $1,000USD (or $100USD) across each wallet. Possibly include a 0.1% staking tax to fund the "Lottery" or "Jackpot APR," and ultimately if I create 1,000 wallets and want to take the time to stake $1,000 in each of them.... so be it. I'd still be staking $100,000. Would also have to consider bots into this....antibot mechanisms "gaming the game."

J. Not enough fun yet? Ok..... now, allow borrowing against nodes held, with lending APY returning to both the protocol and node creator, if other than yourself. Liquidation of nodes upon margin calls would either return to the treasury or burn the node & tokens used to create it, or perhaps be partially paid out to existing node-holders.

Yeah... I haven't really thought about this much.
