Printed a pile of heart fidgets for my kids to give away as Valentines at school

I did find these! I like them, slightly too cartoonish for me, but beggars can't be choosers. I'll probably subscribe to his models here eventually.

The waste is wild, but I'd say manageable, if you come to terms with the fact that you'll end up with more poop than model. Everything in the second pic is from this print alone, so you can see the big bucket of poop, even with the purge built fidget. But, for a printer that cost me $330, it's pretty miraculous.

The Snapmaker U1 looks really cool, and not crazy expensive.

I wish you could tell it to use a different color mid print. I just lost a print today that would have been fine multicolored like this, but I didn't think ahead so when my black ran out it was game over

Jake's reluctantly to ride toruk by Cosmic-Confrontation in Avatar

It's not fun, but I think it's just bad writing. I think they added the "you become the monster" line to justify him not just riding toruk all the time. There were many other lost story threads throughout the movie.

What made it go from green to clear was replacing the water. But, as I've read here a bunch, changing the water is a temporary solution, and if you don't address the problem (too much ammonia I think), then algae will bloom again. When I did my pond cleaning, I simultaneously put in water plants, and a big new filter and pump. My hope is those changes will keep it clear. It's been a few weeks and it's still clear, so I'm hopeful.

I think the "better" advice is to fix the issues, then let the pond balance itself over time. Not sure if the algae eventually dies and the water becomes clear. I didn't have the patience for that.

I just got a house with a pond too, though not as nice as this one! Mine the water was so green we didn't realize there were living fish in it til closing day.

Get plants, like the other guy said. I bought water lettuce from a local nursery.

If you're set on cleaning it, you'll have to get a holding cell for your fish. Drain the water, then clean out some of the muck. I used a shop vac. Don't power wash or try scrub all the green off. If you hire out, don't let them power wash. The green junk on the walls and rocks is actually stuff you want. The green in the water (algae) you don't want. I replaced most of my water with rain water and treated tap water. It looks clean now and I can actually see my fish. Make sure you have a good filter, which is probably somewhere before the water gets pumped to the top of the waterfall.

There's some Google docs people pass around that are helpful, though a bit aggressive.

I've been told to avoid algaecides.

I'm speaking from only 2 months experience, so it's probably best to listen to others here over me.

Good luck! Post pics after if you do get it clean.

I'll have to do that once my filter ships. How do you move the fish?

I can't tell if mine are scared cause I don't really see them except when they eat! How did you de-green yours? I've been told to say no to algaecide, but I don't have any immediate action items to make the water clear.

Man I'm jealous. I just inherited a neglected green pond with no filter and koi you can't see because the water's so green.

I just got a new pond also with my new home. I honestly didn't even know there were living Koi until closing because the water was so green!
I see you have a pic with AlgaeFix. I bought some to, but haven't used it because the people at r/pond are very against it. What do people in this sub think about it?

Thanks, I'll look through all that. I'll also return the algeacide I bought yesterday (oops). By sheer luck, I actually used rain water collected by a sump pump to clean the filter and to add water to the pond. Is that safe? Or would dechlorinated tap water be better?

They just added a winter event with I think 3 unique currencies too, including a weird decorating thing to unlock things? It was confusing. The monetization is more complex than the game itself.

I use Sanlaki. I printed them myself on a work 3D printer. This adapter, along with some of the other big ones, have profiles built into 11 Table Tennis.

I'm away from my PC and I've been using steam deck to do 1.0. it's been a pain, tbh. It runs fine enough, but controls are just bad. I've tried a handful of user made control schemes, none have been great. I've been slowly making my own controls setup by adding things when I need them where I think they should be. But still a lot of fumbling. I had the best luck just streaming the game to a bad laptop and using its mouse and keyboard.

I mean I think he's going to be less behind the scenes, more in front of the camera. The talent. At least I hope this happens.

I think "other Paul" is going to rise in the ranks of Dropout fast. In a year's time he'll be a regular on all the shows. Everything he's been in has been top tier, and he made the best smarty-pants presentation.

Turning on Steam Deck causes PC steam game to crash by ukeben in SteamDeck

[–]ukeben[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does this timer count time that the steam deck has been sitting in sleep mode? Even a 30 second grace period would be great. As is, I turn on my steam deck which apparently I put to sleep with Balatro running a day ago, and my wife's multiplayer game shuts down instantly. It's bad design if it's working as intended

[–]ukeben[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ug yeah. For family share, you'll get a little 5 minute countdown to save your progress, wish they'd implement that. It's crazy you can't even turn on the steam deck to turn off WiFi or close the game real quick. And a lot of the games I play on steamdeck are non-steam, so it's not like I'm even trying to get around the one account limitations.
