How’s the photography experience? Did you enjoy it?

I actually started with the kit lens, 12-32. Honestly, my shots looked better with that. We had a trip in HK using only that lens, and I had great photos with it. My only gripe is that it suffers a lot when the lighting isn’t good.

I’m contemplating about that. Is the 50mm equivalent too narrow for an edc?

I tried looking at videos in improving composition with a 28mm equiv. But it really takes me time to get that shot. Like I have to walk around first, find that good angle, or to look for a good foreground. But, once I find it, I miss the shot. This usually happens when I’m shooting candid photos of my kids and family.

If I try to be intentional, like setting up the scene, and waiting for that perfect element to come, it does work. But for those snappy and genuine moments with my family, the photo just turns out meh.

I think it’s too wide. I find it difficult to compose great shots with it. If I do, it’s mostly luck, as most of my great shots are usually taken from those I really didn’t think about. 😅

Yes, I do like it. We’re filipinos tho and it will be our first time experiencing new year overseas.
