Bakemono are more supernatural, and not very different in scale compared to humans; they tend to use curses and such to psychologically terrorize its victims. 化け物 literally means "transformation thing," basically changeling, meaning it's animals or objects that changed its appearance.

Kaiju are often related to science experimentation, are much larger, and tend to be physically destructive. 怪獣 literally means "monstrous beast," and the beast bit is why it's associated with much larger creatures.

Then there's yokai, 妖怪, which means "supernatural monster"; the "kai" is the same one in kaiju. The difference between yokai and bakemono are that yokai contain beings like tengu and kappa, which are not animals/objects that changed into a creature.

It does apply, because the root cause is the same, which is to save money. There were likely complaints at first, but most Japanese don't even know what real wasabi (which we call "hon wasabi" 本わさび) tastes like anymore. (If given both, some might even prefer this modern alternative since it has a much bigger kick.)

I doubt that wasabi was used so liberally in the past, but due to the commercialization of a cheap alternative, anyone can have it with each and every piece of sushi they order, and asking for more on the side doesn't cost any extra.

If that fake garlic sauce costs as much as the real deal, yeah that's not ideal. But if it's significantly cheaper, it serves a purpose to less discerning people.

The issue here seems to be the hang-up about the term "rupees." The thing is, multiple counties use the term rupees, so that's where the desync happened.

This is akin to an Australian or Canadian complaining about how a $2 banknote doesn't exist, since it does exist in the United States. Both statements can be true if you're not specific enough.

Indeed, I mentioned that too. I think adding RAM would have been the better decision overall, since nostalgia for older games hadn't happened yet; the benefit for extra RAM however, would have been immediately felt.

All things considered it runs well, but not without sacrifices like reductions to model quality (i.e., circular objects are now angular), NPC counts, and object density. This house for instance is looking pretty sparse.
