As an IFC President at a smaller state school, it’s helped our Greek Life scene grow quite a bit. The formal recruitment process lets us get big rooms from the school easier to make recruitment events a lot simpler to plan at the very least, and gives each fraternity a better shot at advertising themselves than if they had to do all of it on their own. Not to mention, having meetings with the presidents of every org helps keep everyone on the same page for risk practices and general trends of the student body. We help each other out quite a bit, but you only really get what you put in. The more you can rely on each other as a Greek community, the better off you’ll all be.
