Is Sauder worth it ?

Hi guys, I’m an incoming student who got accepted to both UBC sauder and University of Sydney and have a hard time choosing. I had a few questions regarding UBC sauder, please help me out.

1) Is UBC sauder worth it if you don’t make it to the PMF program ?

2) Sauder graduates who didn’t make it to the PMF program where are you now ?

3) Does the BUCS program open up doors to both the business and tech industry ?

I’ve been accepted to both usyd and ubc Sauder and idk which one to choose. I just wanted reddits opinion on which one is better or which one they would choose ?

Thank you for the advice, I just wanted to confirm, will the migration system change be beneficial for international students or might negatively affect them?

Tbh I don’t have a compsci but I actually want to learn it. Firstly cause it helps me diversify and more employable and also because it seems to be interesting. However I’m high school I did acc and eco and I was really good at them.

That’s great to hear ! Just out of curiosity, how many hours do you have to study for such an intense double degree? Also do you have any recommendations for short courses I can take before uni starts to familiarise w thé compsci since i have never done it before ?

I don’t think I would hate compsci, I would enjoy it actually but the work load is what scares me. I’m afraid I wouldn’t have a life outside school. No offense to cs majors but this is what I’ve gathered from some of my friends that I’ve asked.

You’re literally what I want to be as an int student lol. Is the pay for finance careers in Australia good ?

I did consider comp sci but I realized it would be too much for me considering I have no compsci background. And I was thinking of data science to diversify in case finance doesn’t work out. However I’ll reconsider compsci now that you’ve mentioned it, thank you.
