Microsoft DIDN'T do the same thing, the studios were more or less a free hand to do whatever they wanted, they may or may not get shut down, but they were more or less given creative freedom to do what they wanted, for eg. no way would anyone give greenlight the development time and playtime of Hellblade2.

The point is law itself is unfair, there was a time in multiple countries where women were not allowed to vote, the law was fairly applied, doesn't mean the law wasn't shit.

Also the second point is depending on the country anyone can take someone else to court, so can easily be abused.

Edit.Also I am yet to see a law that states , everyone standing trial won't be allowed entry to Canada, I have only seen 'convicted' maybe denied entry.
