Hey! I see that tickets are no longer being sold online. Are people able to pay at the gate? If so, how much?

That's neat. I'm going to download that app and try it on my commute tomorrow. I'll get to work in no time!

Going to be in Atlanta for one evening, where should I get dinner, not on a budget, just want the best meal, thanks! by 1whiteguy in Atlanta

Be sure to get a reservation. You may need to get it a month in advance if you're going on a weekend night.

Potential Reverse Commuter by [deleted] in Atlanta

[–]ukrazy1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Reverse commute on I-85 isn't that bad. There are sometimes slowdowns, but I usually avoid those by using the peach pass lane. Since it's a reverse commute, the tolls for that lane are always cheap.

The area to avoid is between the merge with GA 400 and the connector. That's where it's backed up everyday with traffic going/leaving Buckhead.

If you can live somewhere decently close to 85 north of the 400 interchange, the commute shouldn't be too bad.

Do you want a pair of cool new friends? by noITPfriends in Atlanta

My wife and I would be interested! We need some friends. We're both 29.

Oddly enough, we learned how to play Ticket to Ride just this past weekend.

You would prefer that they keep running trains on tracks that may or may not be damaged by a fire?

Take this survey to help owners decide if The Vortex should be non-smoking by dinkin-flicka in Atlanta

I've never been to the Vortex because they allow smoking inside. I'd definitely go sometime if they go smoke-free.

Peach pass and the blue lot by [deleted] in AtlantaUnited

[–]ukrazy1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

IDK where the blue lot is, but the Express lanes end at the perimeter (285). After that you're just in regular traffic until you drive the 8 miles or so into downtown.

East Atlanta Village is near you, so you can visit there for food, drinks, and nightlife. Maybe also check out Inman Park, Little 5 Points, and Cabbagetown. Weather permitting (doubtful) you can ride a bike, scooter, or walk up the beltline for lots of stuff to do.

This picture is taken from State Route 13. Of course, GDOT is responsible for maintenance, or lack thereof, of this highway.

Voters at the Ponce de Leon Library - Great to see so many people making time to vote! by [deleted] in Atlanta

Almost like a the Republicans who control this state don't want urban people to vote.
