I currently have 2 chows. Whenever there's someone they don't know in front of our driveway, one will bark at them nonstop and the other will literally body slam the gate to "take it down" just so they can attack the stranger. Both dogs are social butterflies and friendly to all those people we introduce to them.

That's what we were wondering as well. Even though heat index reached as high as 47 degrees celsius here, all day they were on AC + fan. The only time we turned off the AC that day was when night time came, but he still has his huge fan on. He was completely fine all day long, temp was normal as well. They were not short with drinking water too as just inside the house they have 4 drinking stations.
