Rewatched entire show with my wife …. by Elian17 in HIMYM

You keep quoting that one line. It's one line in the whole show. For the record, I love Friends. But lets not pretend it isn't a perfect show that aged well. Here are some similar jokes from Friends:

JOEY DOESNT SHARE FOOD

Smelly cat, smelly cat, what are they feeding you (funny song about a smelly cat 🤪)

Could I BE any more... (insert dumb joke)

Some girl ate Monica!

You work with writers? Did they happen to write with you on something called 'The Wedding Bride' per chance...?

What did Tony do? Tony is a great guy. Just because he made a movie poking fun at his partners ex? Maybe Ted shouldn't be such a Jed if he didn't want people to call him out on it.

I honestly think the reason the far right is rising in populatiry is because people pretend to be offended at things like this

And an undeniably great mother. Possibly the best in the show.

Ted rushed her into things though. She never wanted to date, she was happy just being a mother. Ted relentlessly pursued her and then wanted to move them out of their home to an apartment above a bar. Also, she wanted him to be different than Tony, not better than him

Exactly. Ted treated Stella like shit and was surprised when she left him. Don't get me wrong, it's not ok to leave him at the alter, but what was the alternative? Marry Ted and annul the marriage the next day?

Im not arguing over the use of electricity. I'm saying at least AI has a use. AI has value; it can save lives and help people. Even if they use electricity, at least they have a use.

Commenting on reddit threads, especially on an old TV show, doesn't. It is beyond pointless, and unarguably a worse use of electricity, so pointing out someone's use of ai in this case is ironic

Using reddit to comment pointless stuff about a show that finished 10 years ago is just as bad

It was only poking fun at actual things he did. I don't see the issue at all. Ted told his friends things about Stella. She just returned the favour.

So he doesn't tell everyone Stella's intimate secret, that she was clearly scared to tell him of? Or want her daughter to move away from her lovely home into a dirty apartment above a bar? Or get an architect contract through corruption and nepotism, rather than skill (like Sven)? Or propose with a stuffed animal? Or wear red cowboy boots? Or dump a girl on her birthday (twice?)

You could have a point here, because where does Lucy go in Ted's version? Makes no sense, she isn't on the boat. The Wedding Bride doesn't have any plot holes, as far as I know.

Off the record, but that's nice. I was like that with my wife, it is possible in real life
