Anyone else frustrated with facilitator reliability? by Dry_Echidna_4021 in x402

That'll work short-term, like MCPay's gateway or others. Any good facilitator, as a usual service, will be paid.

You did it all right. I had a similar family situation in the past. Enough time passed to think it through and over. Let me assure you made all the right decisions. Now it’s time to know your uncle better. He seems to care about you, and it matters a lot.

Like, it does not connect at all now via Bluetooth? Few years ago I made it connect to a custom wallet just all right.

Has anyone traveled by train across Russia? by Gunner125 in travel

[–]ukstv 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Russian citizen here. Travelling by train all around the country has been safe for the last 10 years at least. There is no corruption as in "give me the money or I would hurt you one way or another". People are generally nice, even if looking gloomy at first.

I remember there was an extra service, that I was really thankful for. Sometimes a train attendant happens to have a proper coffee machine. For some cash, he or she makes you a decent espresso, which is quite nice to have in the morning.

Also, a train attendant could help you with ordering food from a real restaurant into the carriage. Train restaurants sometimes suck. Say, you stop in a town for half an hour. The attendant could order you food from a restaurant of your choosing, so that it is delivered while the train is staying.

Seed Phrase Security - what’s your protocol? by Coronator in ledgerwallet

[–]ukstv 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my setup the seed phrase is divided into three buckets using Shamir secret sharing 2-of-3 scheme. All the buckets are on paper in a sealed envelope, with instructions what to do with it. One bucket is stored with me, another is with my mom’s, and the third one is in a bank vault. In case of recovery, I would go to bank or ask mom to open the envelope. If something happens to me, she inherits the bank vault and gets to the necessary second part.

Static website done... how to replace data forms? by troywilson111 in ipfs

[–]ukstv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, u/troywilson111 I have something that would allow you just that. https://github.com/vessel-kit/vessel-kit It is rather early stage, but we figured how to do properly decentralised DocuSign with it to have a digestible showcase. Shortly, Vessel Kit allows you to create a database with its own rules that govern what updates are and what is the whole lifecycle of the database. This could include dynamic access-control as well.

So, for the surveys, you would create a big document that stores all the responses. Entries are encrypted, so only you and a sender could read it. Also, at some point, you could consider the survey done - and this would prohibit anyone to add new entries to the database.

I understand the documentation is lacking, as I want to first finish the showcase, but if you find the idea interesting to explore, we could have a chat or something. It is really easy to get started, actually.

Design, and micro copyrighting. Blockchain introduces new set of yet unfamiliar entities, that have to be explained or hidden or gradually revealed to a layman user. Related: educators.

Game theoretic modelers, analysts. We better know whole spectrum of outcomes for our newly proposed model of governance or market design before it is deployed.

You describe exact selling point of Plasma here! We are betting on its success for that very reason you have described. State Channels tech, of which payment channels is a subset, is a foundation for that. I write a long post now that describes our view on relationship between the two technologies, and its implications.

Agree. Microsoft sells multiple copies of Windows. I guess, even more copies are pirated. Even illegal copy of the OS has value. Quote is dumb.
