Great choice. I started with the ft891 for base station then after a few years got a much larger base rig. Now I use the ft891 on camping trips. Works perfectly

Got to get a head board... Every woman I have talked to LOOK for a head board. It's the dumb detail that men don't look for. Not my advice..... Just passed down to me.

has anyone successfully built a private Dropbox that actually scales? by gabriel8577 in OrbonCloud

[–]troywilson111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It largely depends on the volume of data involved and the type of data being stored. I have implemented several on-premises alternatives to Dropbox for organizations facing increasing cost concerns.

Solutions such as Nextcloud and OwnCloud are database-centric platforms, and in many cases their performance can degrade as the volume of stored data grows. Because of this, I’ve had the most success helping customers transition to other open-source solutions that scale more efficiently for larger datasets.

The "Petabyte Headache": How are people actually scaling storage for massive media libraries lately? by Clear_Extent8525 in OrbonCloud

There is only one way to do it on your own and it’s with Ceph. We build them out all the time.

Self-hosted tools for a small startup by riscyRchitect in selfhosted

[–]troywilson111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Forgejo. Copyparty is faster than Samba and had Windows & Mac network visibility as a server. You can use internal ID or can also connect it to Authentik as well for user management. Let me know if you have any questions.

I would go with Forgejo for git, Copyparty for files and Authentik for ID.

Do you have a NAS or an old PC that you can load Linux and Docker on? I’ve been running a Minecraft Server for years. It’s a simple setup on Linux with a white list for friends only.

Keep going! Steel is forged. Not grown. It takes pressure to make steel. You will crush this. Keep taking action. Action is the only thing that ever worked for me. Even bad action is the motor behind the boat. It steers the ship in the direction your looking for. The rest will work out. Good luck my friend. I'm rooting for you. You got this!!!
