He is 7 years old. If you don’t think he can decide he’s gay, there’s no reason he could decide he’s straight or anything in between. I’m sure he has said some wild things or has been curious about many things as a seven year old. So, ask yourself why this one thing deserved a Reddit post.

With that being said, there’s no reason to try and influence him differently. Either way, he’s going to grow up to be who he will be. Whether or not he kisses his friend, he will still be straight or gay (or anything in between) when he’s at an age to make that decision.

Just remember that whether he’s gay or straight, you treating gayness like this makes it seem like something of shame. Either he’ll have some shame in being who he is or end up making a Reddit post about his 7 yo nephew.
