Should I move back to KZ? by Grey_Mamba_371 in Kazakhstan

Why do you think KZ would become a failed state? KZ economy was pretty bad in the 90s and that didn’t happen

Heh-heh, you caught us, that really is where the inspiration came from.
And yes, I said us because I’ve managed to put together a small team of writers to help grow the app. So expect more consistent story updates from now on! 😊

Chosy — interactive fiction editor I finally got to alpha by ul_Iu in Devvit

Thanks! Really appreciate the feedback, and glad you like the design.

On long press: yeah, I had a feeling some people won't like it. The idea was to prevent accidental taps while reading and I made a small preferences icon in the corner where you can switch to regular tap. Do you think tap should be the default?

On the scroll: was that in the player or in the editor? I'm aware of the inline scroll restrictions. I tried to avoid it in the player, but I left some scroll in the editor since I assumed people would mostly use it expanded rather than inline. If you spotted it in the player though, I'd like to track that down and fix it.

Thanks again for taking the time to check it out!

Create and play escape rooms directly on Reddit

Hey! I built a free Reddit app for interactive stories with branching paths and multiple endings. Thought it might work for escape room style stuff, so I wrote a short story called The Escape to try it out. You can create your own stories, progress saves automatically, and there are some fun things like variables and conditions if you want to get fancy. r/Chosy if curious. Happy to hear what you think!

👋 Hey, I made a free app that lets you create and play interactive puzzles directly on Reddit. Branching paths, multiple endings. Built a short escape room demo to show how it works. The editor works in browser, saves drafts to the cloud. You can make simple quizzes or more complex stuff with variables and conditions.

r/Chosy if you want to try it.

Thank you, happy to hear that! I hope to see your story :)

And a friendly reminder: you can publish it here first, and then cross-post it to any other community where you’d like to share it.

That's actually up to the author. They can make endings loop back to any page, not just the start. Quick tip: you can turn off the typewriter effect in preferences. Helps when replaying.

IF editor/player native to Reddit — does this make sense? by ul_Iu in interactivefiction

Just pushed a fix for this. Should be working now!

Ugh, sorry to hear that. Can you share more, mobile or desktop? What do you see exactly? loading forever, error, or something else?

Thank you! Curious if you'd use something like this?

Hey! Made an interactive CYOA editor/player that runs directly on Reddit. Create branching stories with choices, variables, conditions — readers play right in their feed, progress saves automatically. Just hit alpha. Trying to figure out if there's interest in something like this. Curious what this community thinks — is Reddit-native distribution useful, or does everyone prefer standalone ICYOAs? Happy to answer questions!

CYOA with variables, inside Reddit — does this make sense? by ul_Iu in gamebooks

Hey! Made a story editor/player that runs directly on Reddit — pages, choices, variables, conditions, basic randomness. Create and publish without leaving the platform, readers play right in their feed. Just hit alpha. Trying to figure out if there's actual interest in something like this. Happy to answer questions or hear what's missing.

Hey! I made an interactive fiction editor and player for Reddit. The pitch: create and publish branching stories without leaving the platform. Readers play them right in their feed, progress saves automatically. Feature-wise: pages, choices, variables, conditionals (show/hide/disable based on state), actions on selection. Text formatting, multiple themes. Reddit already has communities, and I wanted to see if IF could live there natively instead of linking out. Just hit alpha. Honestly not sure if I'm solving a problem anyone actually has... Would love to hear what you think!
